We hired empire to do an interlock extension of our driveway as well as the interlock in the front of our house. They did a terrible job and trying to have them fix it has been a quite the experience. The interlock tiles are unevenely laid, some tiles are higher than others and they slope towards the grass instead of being leveled. While the interlock mostly slopes towards the street there is a high point and it starts slopping towards the house. The cold patch they did to bridge the 2 inch gap between our driveway and front interlock doesn’t come all the way up to the stone. There is a 1/4 inch gap between the asphalt and the interlock and on the first day we tripped on it. My husband called Andrew on the Tuesday to complain, I emailed him on the Thursday and finally called the office and left a message for him on Friday. He finally called back on that day and said they would come by and fix it the following week. I also called the office and requested for the owner to call me back and have yet to receive a call. It’s now Thursday and no one has come by to even take a look at it. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I shouldn’t have to wait for repairs on a job that has just been done, it should be their #1 priority. Also, someone should have come out to look at the job as I shouldn’t be the one responsible for telling the workers what needs to be fixed. I don’t trust them to know what should be fixed since they obviously thought they did a good job. The company is very good at selling themselves but when it comes to actually doing the work and following-up when there is an issue they are terrible.

Kris and his crew are very dynamic and fulfilled my needs, any challenges down the road, thay offer several options to go for. Quality on workers job and I love my new deck. I will use his services in the future without hesitation. Yes, they were delas due to weather conditions or other factors but Kris always was straight forward and honest. Extreme buyers remorse. They will not answer the phone, reply to emails or text messages about coming back to complete our patio. I’m stuck with an incomplete patio…what a nightmare.The project manager made an error on the measurements. He made a plan to add an addition which I approved. Now they are unresponsive about the work order I signed.If the owner sees this, your sales and project management team are not doing a great job. Please service your clients respectfully. Ignoring me once a portion of the project is complete is not okay.

September 2026. Empire deck and their amazing crew just finished my project. I’m EXTREMELY happy with Empire Deck and the work they done here. Andrew, Joseph and the Team I had doing the work here lead by Simon are just AMAZING. Very hard worker guys, very approachable and very respectful of the property of neighbours and they double check to be sure no damage will be done to anything around with the machinery or tools. Im very happy about the swale, the rocks and the interlock. Love the design and the final results!I will highly recommend Empire deck to friends, colleagues and neighbours.

A few neighbors had their driveway's redone, (asphalt) and I asked Empire if they could repair a few gouges in my driveway that were made this past winter from the snow plow service. Not only did they repair them, I wasn’t charged for their work. I will definitely go with Empire Deck and Interlocking when I decide to replace my driveway. From start to finish this company exceeded our expectations. Andrew and I worked together to choose a design that was unexpected and out of the box. They were quick and finished the job with minimal interruptions to our daily life and work. The design master knew exactly how to lay out our complicated design and he and the young man working with him were the sweetest souls. The price too was very competitive and they did not overcharg. With every step they made sure it was what we wanted so that there were no surprises later. I highly recommend them and all our neighbours were asking who did it. I booked Empire to complete my front and backyard. They advanced my work date by nearly 6 weeks as they were in the area which made us enjoy the patio longer for the summer. They arrived prepared and the workers were friendly. Within 4 days, the work was completed and everything was returned to original condition. I also received a call 2 months after for a checkup and any inquiries i may have had.
