I really enjoyed it and found Bertie’s talk genuinely useful. One of my biggest takeaways was the perspective on how to introduce AI to people who may not have much prior experience with it. Framing it in practical, everyday terms rather than technical ones felt like the right approach, especially in the charity sector. I also really liked the example linking AI and “laziness” — in the sense that using AI to remove repetitive or low-value tasks can actually free people up to focus on more meaningful, human-led work. That framing felt honest, relatable, and much easier for people to connect with. Overall, it was a great session and definitely gave me a few ideas to reflect on.

I've learned so many new things about AI from organising this event itself - and enjoyed learning more about Bertie's career journey too 🌟 Looking forward to catching up more in the new year!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Nottingham Charity Network event and what an inspiring evening it was. While I’m currently floating between jobs, I was met with a lovely warm welcome as I walked into a room full of friendly, familiar, and supportive faces.A huge thank you to the panel for sharing their insights, and especially to Bertie, whose talk truly opened my mind to new perspectives on AI. His ability to engage the room and make complex ideas feel accessible was brilliant.I left feeling energised, informed, and excited about the possibilities ahead for AI in the charity sector.

The next day it was all about our new fancy and veryyy efficient CRM handover, NotLuck with the wonderful Bertie, Lee-ann & Oliver in Nottingham, with Matisse Edwards for Edwards Cleaning and Maintenance Services! The CRM has made my life as an Operations and Business Development Manager and our life as a Property Management company so 👏🏾much 👏🏾smoother 👏🏾and I am here for it!!! Automations, kanban boards, pipelines, an absolute dream and not clunky at all. I've worked with a few CRMs in previous roles and not being biased or anything but it's the best one I've ever worked with... And no I'm not getting paid to say that! Also, I've never laughed so much in an external meeting in.my.life, working with NotLuck had me in actual tears from laughing, all of us, while working of course! Highly recommend for a smooth personalised Operations software system. 💻
