Sharon was absolutely amazing helping me and Walter (male, 5, pug cross, rescue). He had issues when walking barking and lunging for other dogs and reacting to men we came across. We learnt several different methods to help him keep calm and reassured when out and about. I can now confidently take him for a walk everyday knowing I can handle and situation we come across. We started working with Sharon after adopting our rescue dog. Red was quite anxious having been moved from foster home to foster home, and we wanted to make sure she settled well and felt safe. We also needed some help as she was a nightmare on the lead. It was a real pleasure working with Sharon. She took so much time to understand Red and help us to understand her too. We learned lots of tools to manage her behaviour and she was always there to answer questions when things weren’t going quite to plan! We contacted Sharon because of our new puppy (white in the photo) toileting problem. He kept having accidents in the house.He knew he should go outside but still had accidents on the carpet & sofa.We was scared to touch him incase he had a wee!She helped us understand why and gave us an action plan to resolve.Happy to report, within 2 sessions the issue had disappeared!We then pivoted to other behaviours which we wanted to make better. I recently had an assessment with Sharon for my Golden Retriever to become a therapy dog, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I approached Sharon after feeling frustrated when Walter was running off to every man and his dog to say hello! Sharon supported me in working on Walter's implusivity and along the way I have learned about how to help Walter with this and so much more. Sharon is professional, knowledgeable and made the training purposeful, changing directions sometimes with the information I was offering. Sharon taught me that I was being hard on myself at times and pointed out the many positives which I was failing to see. Sharon is amazing! I never had a dog before and started some puppy classes, but my one-to-one training with Sharon is fantastic and making a difference. I get a lot of tips and its not just general things, as she understands the dog’s behaviour and sees how I am with our dog, so she really helps tailored to us. Shape Your Dog's Sharon is a dedicated, caring and exceptionally knowledgeable dog trainer. We feel we have struck gold with finding Sharon. Our young dog was being very noise sensitive to any traffic and noises outside of the home. From the first consultation at home Skye took to Sharon well, this was a great sign as our puppy was wary of strangers too! Each training session has helped to build Skyes confidence and we have an amazing toolbox with great understanding of how to help Skye to overcome her difficulties.
