They cater for all budgets, I'm a first time buyer on a smaller budget, and felt slightly intimidated to seek out a broker initially, until I spoke to Lakes Mortgages. They provide impartial advice and support you through the whole process seamlessly. Both Nicola and Phil have a wealth of experience and knowledge, which they convey in layman's terms to allow you to remain updated through the application. Having never used a broker I decided to try it this time. I was sick of banks trying to brain wash and tell me theirs was the best. So I got in touch with lakes mortgages. They made the whole experience so much easier. The deal they got basically payed for their service and they have a much more hands on approach that the banks give you. Conversations outside of the banks 9am to 4 pm. Able to communicate over the phone and video calls rather than the banks face to face appointments in a months time. So much simpler. So much quicker. I can not rate them highly enough. Added to which they are lovely to deal with and your on to a real winner. Just excellent from start to finish.

Honestly, these guys are on another level. From the very start, they’ve been relentless in keeping us updated — not just with what’s going on our end, but also chasing and coordinating all the outside agencies that normally slow things down. For us, it’s been completely hands-off. They’ve taken the reins, done all the strategic organising behind the scenes, and just kept us in the loop.We’ve never felt so safe and looked after by a company. Before finding Lakes Mortgages, I spoke to about five other brokers… and honestly, I couldn’t believe how unhelpful they were. All they seemed to do was point out problems — like that was their job — instead of finding solutions. Then I spoke to Phil (the owner and main broker), and within minutes I knew I was in good hands. He’s got this calm, confident way about him — like a seasoned airline pilot who’s seen it all and knows exactly what to do. I honestly cannot recommend Lakes Mortgages enough - we were first time buyers, my partner is self employed with only a years worth of books and they managed to sort us a mortgage! They made the whole process so easy, they found the right mortgage to suit us and were always on the end of a phone/email if we had any questions. They understood that we all have to work and were more than willing to work around us when arranging phone calls.
