My husband and I were lucky enough to buy our old home back that we had owned for 30 years. We were renting a house when we bought it back and decided that rather than my husband do some renovations after we moved in we would continue renting and hire someone to do everything to make it move in ready. I was lucky enough to meet Matt, the owner of Bluebird Home Improvement one day when I walked into Melcer Tile. He overheard me talking to a sales representative and started to also give me suggestions as to what tile to choose for our showers and showed me pictures of some that he had done before. We already had a contractor that we were going to go with but I was nervous about that choice because he wasn't the easiest to get in touch with. I was very impressed with Matt's knowledge, friendliness and professionalism and got his number. I called him the next day and we scheduled an appointment for a consultation that week. He was punctual and had so many great ideas and said he wanted to make sure we loved our home and didn't try to persuade us into changing our vision. He just wanted to enhance it. We were very comfortable with Matt and hired him as soon as we received his estimate, which was extremely reasonable for what we wanted done. We hired him on the spot. This was a week before Thanksgiving so he and his crew were able to start the following week. They got to work right away and had the demolition done in a day and a half! The only thing left standing was the drywall throughout the whole house. Matt gave me a list of homework as far as picking out all of the things I would have to have, things I would never have thought of and he gave great companies to go to for those products. I can't say enough good things about Matt, Allen (his project manager at the time), Gabriel, the job site manager/coordinator, and all of the fantastic 28 employees Matt has working for him. Because they are in such demand they are extremely busy but said he'd be able to start our home two weeks later and true to his word, they did. Matt has hired all of the best trade, skilled experts to work on our project as he told me they would, and the crew was fantastic! They were each experts at their trade, and the finished product was proof of that. I did not make it easy for Matt, as during the project I kept adding things to the scope of work and changing my mind on supplies that I had chosen, like our new floors but it never fazed him. Matt's crew came in and installed our new floors that I had chosen in a day and half and when I walked in and saw it I immediately knew it wasn't the look I was going for. I felt terrible because his guys had done such a great job installing it but Matt called me after my husband called him to let him know we were going to pick something else. He was so nice about it and wanted to stress to me that this was our home and he wanted us to love it so it would be no problem. Like Matt's employees, he has the best referrals for jobs that they don't do. He gave us names for a new fence, shower doors and a team of men that will help you move, which we were very thankful for in the end as we only had a couple of days to get our entire life moved from our rental into our old/brand new home. Matt will always answer your calls, and if he is on another line he will call you right back. I can't say enough good things about Matt and his entire Bluebird company. We absolutely love our home!
