Absolutely incredible! Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken is hands down one of the best spots for hot chicken I’ve ever been to. The flavors are out of this world—perfectly crispy, juicy chicken with just the right balance of spice and seasoning. I tried the medium heat level, and it packed a kick without overpowering the taste.The chicken sandwich is a must-try—stacked high with slaw, pickles, and that addictive comeback sauce. The waffle fries were golden and crisp, and the portions were generous. You can tell they take pride in their food, and it shows in every bite.The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the place was clean and well-run. It was my first time here since it used to be a diner. I've been curious for a while, but with my diabetes I only get one cheat meal a week. I decided to take a chance here.The food was good, above average and very unique. It didn't blow me away, and I'll explain why. But overall my belly is full and it was good.I was expecting something close to a xasbys or a raisin cains. However, the chicken focuses more on the spicy and the flavor, as opposed to the crunchy. The tenders were tender and juicy, and the hangry Joe's sauce completes the flavor.The fries were alright, but they were soggy. It's a catch 22, how do you hope to have the fries soak in the chicken flavor and stay crunchy? This is partly why I didn't give a full 5 stars.The bread in the box was awesome. Rear off the edges and eat the middle - heaven.Food intermission: yall need to mop the floor. I was walking around in front of the counter and my shoes were sticking to the tiles, reminding me of a very old movie theater.I also got 6 wings because I'm a wing guy. The good news is that they are big ole wings - not wingettes. The medium sauce was good (spicy). My only issue was i likem wet, and it made the breading and everything very soggy. I've had wet wings before and didn't have to worry about the breading. My suggestion is to stick with the dry rub.Still very good taste.
