My physical therapist (Dr. Emma @ Pro+Kinetix) suggested that I try out medical fitness coaching/personal training with Sam, and I'm so glad I did! I have a history of 5 limb surgeries (4 leg, 1 shoulder) and isolated arthritis in my ankle, so I started my journey with a host of instabilities, weaknesses, and chronic pain.I've worked with Sam for only 6 months (really 4 months subtracting my vacations and holidays), but have already noticed significant improvements in my balance, flexibility, and strength across different facets of my life. In my day to day, hopping off couches, getting in/out of the car, and carrying groceries are now trivial. On vacation, carrying luggage, traversing stairs/cobblestones, and spending long days walking have become much easier. And despite SO many injuries, I still insist on playing rec sports in my 40s -- teammates have even commented on my improved power, stability, and body control.All of this has been possible because Sam's thoughtfully designed programs cover typical whole-body exercises in addition to addressing PT recommendations and my sports-specific needs.
