I had such a great time on my first two Middle Fork Adventures trips that I organized a third trip with 21 friends, which shows how great I think Middle Fork Adventure trips are. The pre and post trip logistics were smooth. The equipment and organization were great. The food was tasty, abundant and they easily accommodated different diet requirements. The hiking options are plentiful. The river, water, canyons, and hot springs are world class. The guides are world class too, super competent, profession, helpful when you want help, but they give you space when you want it, friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and over all great people. I haven’t been on Middle Fork trips with other outfitters, but from the few I have seen on the river the Middle Fork Adventures guides are more personal and professional. Middle Fork Adventures way over delivered in many ways and all my friends had a great time. We had seven experienced hardshell kayakers and they did a fantastic job of integrating us into their operations such that we never felt we where being herded down the river. Other friends that had never been on a river trip before started very nervous and uncertain, but quickly realized they would be well taken care of. Now they want to do more trips like this. The MF Salmon is a world class wilderness white water trip. Bring your crew and Middle Fork Adventures will make it a trip all of you will always cherish.

What an amazing adventurous trip! We loved every minute of it. My boyfriend and I did the 6-day, 5-nights, rafting trip and it was filled with exciting rapids, informative and passionate guides, delicious meals, great people, hikes, waterfalls, historic sites and stories, wildlife sightings, camp fun, fishing, and unforgettable views!! Everything was planned with care and ran smoothly. It was life-changing!!

We recently did a float down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River with Middle Fork Adventures. Rarely does a trip meet or exceed one's expectations. This trip did exactly that.Murph, Dan and the guides were wonderful; caring, exceptionally well organized, and passionate about the river. While fun-loving and jovial, they are deadly serious when it comes to hygeine, safety and respect for the environment.I cannot recommend them more more highly.

Wow! We had the best time on our trip! Our guides were wonderful. They all had so much knowledge to share about river, the geology of the area and the history of the indigenous groups as well as the miners and ranchers who have called the Middle Fork home. This was one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever done. Something I would never be able to do alone made it worth every penny. Everything was well organized and smooth and the guides were very confident and knowledgeable. It was fun getting to know the other guests and the guides: Trevor, Maggie, Will, Murphy, Taylor, Calvin, Dylan, and Chip. We had lots of fun activities but also stayed on “river time” keeping it relaxing and flexible. We learned about history and saw some pretty special places. The food was super tasty and filling. We had plenty of snacks and water too. Tents and sleeping setup was comfortable (I brought an inflatable camp pillow as well for extra support). The dry bags have plenty of room for all your stuff and you get them the night before you leave to pack. While there are more luxury options this is the perfect mix of wild and rugged and comfort that brings you closer to the land. Thank you for an amazing adventure!

Just spent 6 days on the Middle Fork of the Salmon with this awesome company - they did a fantastic job. The guides were simply some of the finest guides I have been around, extremely competent in all aspects of guiding and a helluva lotta fun. Great logistics, food, and we had lots of opportunities to hike, swim, and lots of other activities. Can't recommend this trip or this company enough.

I had the best time on the Middle Fork with MFA! The guides were friendly, fun, and professional. The food was SO GOOD (and food is very important to me). Very hard working guides on this trip. I like to tip the guides handsomely on all the river trips I do, but this tip also has to reflect the "total trip enjoyment". Some company policies and lack of attention to detail and reasonable requests lowered my usual tip from $500 to $220. I hated to cut the guides out of more, but the company needs to alter some policies for ALL guests to enjoy the trip. If you would like access to YOUR cold drinks at lunch or during the day, this is not the company for you. YOU are on vacation, and should not be at the whims of the company policies. They have plenty of plain water, but YOU cannot have access to YOUR soda pop, beer, lemonade or other beverages during the day.

Highly recommend multi-day rafting trips in general, and the Middle Fork Adventures in particular. I've been in several rafting trips before, and while all teams were great, this particular one makes the extra effort to bring value and convenience others do not. I woke up by the sound of the roaring river and the competing melodies of birds above my tent and I knew this would be a great day. In a raft I floated through a vast wilderness of mountains, pine trees and bighorn sheep occasionally interrupted by exhilarating whitewater rapids. At camp, I wolfed down a delicious meal, sat around a campfire with some wonderful fellow rafters while enjoying a few brewskies. I went to bed by the sound of the roaring river. Where do I begin! Wow. Just wow. This is a trip of a lifetime. If you can do it, I say DO IT!!! I was fortunate enough to go with colleagues. Our company sent us on this amazing trip. There is no bonding experience like it. You will challenge yourself if you are up for it. You will eat incredibly well - healthy, delicious food btw. And you will see some of the most gorgeous, rugged scenery on the planet. The guides are spectacular. They know their stuff. I can't say enough good things about MFA. The river is amazing (no surprise there). All of the MFA guides were fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, capable, and clearly having a great time on the river, along with all of us there on holiday. The gear provided was solid (notably the tents kept us nice and dry during quite the rainstorm). The food was delicious. I can't eat gluten and there were more than enough options for me and I didn't have a single issue the whole week. My trip was in June and the hills were green and so much was in bloom, there were big horn sheep, osprey. Plus the other folks on the trip were terrific, making the week all the more fun. I couldn't have asked for more. Huge thanks to Dan, Bethany, Maggie, Zach, Ethan, Ben, Will, and Mike for helping make this an amazing trip - you guys are the best!
