I’ve been a member here for about 18 months now and as someone who does not like gym work, I can honestly say it’s one of the best training environments I’ve been part of. The small group classes are great because although you’re training in a group, everything is still tailored to the individual. That’s really down to Damian as a coach – he pays attention to what each person needs rather than running a one-size-fits-all session.As a runner, strength work is really important for me in terms of injury prevention and improving running economy. Damian is always conscious that running is my main focus and adapts certain exercises so they complement my training rather than clash with it. I’ve done some of my best running since joining Fortis and the work done in these sessions has played a big part in that.It’s also very clear how much Damien genuinely enjoys coaching. It comes through in every session through his knowledge, the way he interacts with everyone and the attention he gives to each person.I’d highly recommend it to anyone, whether you’re a complete beginner or someone more serious about their training who wants to add proper strength and conditioning.
