Joseph Harper did an outstanding job helping us with a serious issue we were having in our yard here in Raleigh, NC. Last year my wife was stung while doing yardwork by what turned out to be an Asian Needle Ant. The sting was painful, and caused a bad allergic reaction. We hadn't heard of this invasive species before, but they are common throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states, and our yard was full of them (now that I know what they look like, I see them pretty much everywhere I look in our area). Most people aren't aware of them, but about 2% of people who are stung by them have severe, life-threatening allergic reactions to their sting, and another 1.6% experience painful welts or hives that can persist for weeks. We needed help.All the other pest control companies I spoke with were unaware of these ants, and wanted to use a broad-spectrum pesticide that would kill them, but also kill all the other ants and invertebrates in our yard. We didn't want that. Joseph did some research and came up with a treatment plan that would target the Asian Needle ants and leave almost all other ants and invertebrates unaffected. The treatments have greatly reduced the abundance of these dangerous pests and follow-up treatments have kept them at negligible levels. We can now use our yard without fear. We have been extremely happy with Freedom Wildlife Solutions & Pest Control. Our backyard borders a large natural area, and we have had a significant mole and vole problem in both our front and backyards. After about 1.5 years of consistent treatments, we’re pleased to say this is the second month in a row without any new tunneling activity! It has been a challenging situation, but the same three technicians have consistently visited our home, so they’ve gotten to know our yard and the problem areas well. Everyone has been incredibly friendly, professional and thorough in explaining what they found and completed during each visit. I cannot recommend Freedom Wildlife Solutions enough!

We recently had an exceptional experience with Freedom Wildlife Solutions. We discovered a bat living in our attic the last week of April and they were able to get someone out right away to assess and plan the removal before the April 30th deadline! Leland did our initial evaluation and he was friendly, courteous and thorough. He walked us through everything he found in detail and took the time to share the quote with us line by line and really explained what he thought was necessary and what wasn't. The team (David, Matthew, Michael, Blaize and Daniel) that came and completed the project were just as friendly and professional. They communicated well throughout the duration of the removal (2 days) and they left our space in great condition. We would definitely recommend Freedom again!

After going back and forth on text messages for 90 min I stated in a text I am not replying by text. I receive another text. The next day I receive another text stated they could not reach me on the number provided, very interesting considering I was using the same number for texts.

I have used Freedom Wildlife Solutions multiple times over the past several years and continue to be extremely happy with their services.Originally, they came out on two separate occasions — about a year apart — to rescue starlings trapped in one of my downspouts. The second incident happened after that downspout had been connected to a French drain system, which made the situation even more complicated. After resolving the issue, they later installed protective screens on all of the downspout inlets, and thankfully I have not had another bird-related problem since.Over time, I have continued using Freedom Wildlife Solutions for both one-time wildlife issues and ongoing bi-monthly pest control services. They currently treat my property for moles, voles, mosquitoes, and common household pests such as spiders and cockroaches.The crews and office staff have consistently been professional, friendly, and patient when answering questions. During earlier rodent and exclusion work around my home, they carefully explained the process, showed me how to remove the new foundation vent panels if needed, and made sure I understood the work being completed.One thing I especially appreciate is their willingness to discuss environmentally responsible options. I was very concerned about avoiding glue traps or rodenticides that could potentially harm predators such as owls. Joseph, one of the technicians, took the time to explain the products being used and reassured me that the treatment plan would not create secondary poisoning risks for wildlife.On the rare occasion that I see an insect inside the house, they are quick to adjust treatments specifically for that pest.Freedom Wildlife Solutions has been dependable, knowledgeable, and easy to work with from day one. I highly recommend them whether you need a one-time wildlife removal service or ongoing pest control.

I recently had an estimate done for bird removal and preventative maintenance that came in around $1,000. They do offer financing, which is a really nice option, but just be aware it’s based on your TransUnion credit score.When I scheduled the appointment, I was told they were a “one-stop shop” and could also go over additional services like yard treatments (extermination I suppose but I was more wanting to address red ants, spiders, mosquitoes, etc.) and any other pest-related options they may suggest. That part was never discussed during my appointment, so quite possibly there was some miscommunication between the office and the estimator.Another thing to note: there is a $350 minimum service charge (free estimate but minimum for actual work performed), which wasn’t disclosed until I asked about revising my quote to only include a few specific items. When that came up, I was specifically told I “could find someone else cheaper and there are about two other company’s around that could do it for cheaper,” which honestly didn’t sit well with me and shifted the overall experience. I asked for photos of what was going with the issue I had called them in for, and I never saw any, so I had no clue how extensive (or not) the issue I called them for was.The team was VERY nice, polite, and personable in person, but the overall vibe felt a bit off, especially with frequent follow-ups that included pest-related jokes, which didn’t feel very professional to me. I was also told their inspection camera only reaches about 2 feet into ducts, while the service team can go up to 4 feet. That left me feeling unsure, like I might be told something different once work actually started.I’m not trying to bash the company at all—just sharing my experience. I think better transparency upfront and clearer communication about services would go a long way.

Their estimate came in at nearly $6,000 — for work another company quoted at $1,800. After repeated messages from them to answer any questions about the estimate, I politely said we needed to get a couple more estimates before deciding and would let them know. Their reply to that was rude and unprofessional. Getting multiple estimates is completely normal and any professional should respect that.
