Our 11 year old son loves PowerSource! The community and training is a great learning experience, and we can see the difference in his soccer play and training. Jim provides an awesome balance of learning, intensity and fun. Our son enjoys accomplishing new goals and hitting new PRs. The group training provides an opportunity for peer learning and support, which is a personal favorite from a parent perspective. Not only is speed, agility and strength improving but confidence is too - an all around win for development! Less

Our two kids, ages 13 & 15 have been going to Power Source for almost 2 years. Our daughter had chronic knee pain from competitive gymnastics and was referred here to work on careful strength training to hopefully reduce the pain. Within 6 months she began noticing an improvement in her everyday activity and in less than a year the pain was gone and everything else was stronger! We love the individualized workouts based on their goals and each person in the room is doing what makes sense for them, under the supervision of seasoned coaches. This place is such a gem and is teaching kids how important fitness is, not only for sports and athletics but for everyday life! Less

Two of my daughters ages 15 and 13 have been going to Power Source for about 8 months and really enjoy it. They look forward to going each week. They love lifting weights and building muscle and I love that they can do it while an adult is making sure their form is correct. On your first visit Jim does an evaluation to learn your strengths and weaknesses. Then he creates a workout based on the information he learns in the evaluation and what your goals are for taking the class. After doing the workout for 5 classes Jim creates a new one. I also love that you can easily adjust your membership from month to month. I highly recommend Jim and Power Source. Less

For those of you reading this, Power Source is NOT your typical gym. Jim Herrick has a fantastic system that gives each kid an individualized workout that changes every 5 sessions, but that continue to have that athlete’s goals in mind. All workouts, whether geared towards agility, strength, flexibility or other; have an injury prevention component built right in which is huge!We have both a son and daughter there and I have seen big changes in both of them. Our son had more sport specific goals and was already an athlete when we joined. Our daughter was in 7th grade at the time and is an Irish step dancer at heart, but who wanted to start playing sports like field hockey and lax as she entered high school. The amount of self confidence that I saw in her especially, was off the charts and our son was breaking his own workout records left and right. The space itself is actually very comfortable with plenty of room on the turf flooring for each kid to be doing their dumbell workout or band workout, jumprope, crunches, any type of footwork…you name it! It’s also very “casual busy” if that’s a thing. Jim and associates take note of each “athlete” making sure the form is correct and that it’s not too much or too little weight if weights are involved. I believe PS still offers two free sessions and if you’re out there looking for a place to help in your child’s athletic well being…I wouldn’t miss out on this opportunity!-Thanks Jim and crew for running such a great program!-Mark Mogé(LHS tennis coach) Less
