It took us almost 4 hours from the starting point to Venice beach and back! the bikes are well maintained and the sun and smell of the ocean made it a fun mom and daughter day! Went to get my bike breaks replaced at the end of last year, my back break was completely gone after a week and so my front is now worn down as I had to compensate for the lack of a back break. I tried to call but the system is automated and I didn't have time to come in within the 30 day period. I came in specifically to get both of my breaks replaced with the same model they currently had and probably a little clean up. Instead they stripped the rust off by sanding it and replaced my breaks with ones that wore down after a month. I hope to be contacted to rectify this issue soon before I get into an accident. Less

Beachside is great. I've rented bikes from them when I had family visiting, and now I've also had repair work done on my own bike. It's the repair side of things that really stands out as extraordinary (though it's hard to get more convenient for a beach-side bike rental, too!), and that's what this review is primarily about. I recently purchased a new e-bike and assembled it myself. However, I couldn't get one component installed due to paint spray from the factory clogging the threads of a bolt hole. I called the manufacturer and got the thread dimensions, then proceeded to look for a shop to do the thread repair since I didn't have the tap or the inclination to use it for the first time on my brand new bike. I first called a shop that's super close to me and sells this brand of bikes, but they said they don't touch threading (interesting since the manufacturer said that this issue happens regularly...). Then I called another bike shop which told me the same thing, but referred me to Beachside, saying, "they really know their stuff." My third call was to Beachside, and they were immediately helpful. They even checked to see that they had the right tapping bit while I was on the phone. I brought my bike in the next day right after they opened and was helped by another employee. The fix only took about a minute and when I offered to pay, he refused! I insisted on giving him $20 since he'd saved me the trouble of buying the bit and doing it myself. Anyway, I was not a regular in their shop by any means, but they still treated me more than fairly. I'm going to go back soon to have them go over my bike to tune it up after breaking it in for a bit. I think Beachside will be my go-to repair shop from now on since they're willing to do work other shops won't touch and their attitude can't be beat. Thanks! Less

I was initially frustrated with the time it took to repair my scooter, but when I shared my concerns, I felt truly heard and respected. It's horrible business when someone rents 7 bikes from you, to charge them for a bike tube that is less than 10.00. More so telling your clients, find a bike shop and go get it repaired. As a customer (my cousin from Miami) who paid a significant amount for your services, I expected a higher level of customer care. Being charged for a flat tire, an issue that can easily occur during normal use, was unexpected and disappointing. This incident has negatively impacted my experience with your shop and has left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I believe it is crucial for your company to provide better training for your staff in customer service. Addressing issues like this with understanding and professionalism is essential for maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I can no longer recommend Beachside Bike to friends and family visiting from other states. I hope you take my feedback seriously and implement necessary improvements to prevent similar situations in the future. The employee on the line said you can come pick up your scooter if you're going to call everyday with an attitude. I only called once. This would've been my 3rd time here. First time I came I had no problem. The guy fixing my scooter got back to me within two days with a fixed scooter. Second time they said they couldn't fix my scooter because it was a knockoff scooter brand. This is the third time with a ninebot scooter and this is the treatment. Maybe due to the rise of electric scooters they got a little too much on there plate. You have a better chance fixing it yourself or going to a less well known scooter store. Unless you want to wait 2weeks to a month for your scooter. Or they can just tell you you're better off buying a new one then paying there outrages fees. Didn't get refund for there minimum diagnostic. Didn't fix my scooter. Better off going somewhere else. Before I would recommend this place. Now not that much anymore. This is the spot. We rented two beach cruiser bikes for two hours without a reservation. Gave us enough time to ride north along the bike path running up along the ocean. This is the spot. We rented two beach cruiser bikes for two hours without a reservation. Gave us enough time to ride north along the bike path running up along the ocean. Staff were awesome- very nice and helpful. Didn't feel pressured to get insurance or other add-ons, although they were offered which is always great to know if you like the options. Bikes were alright- could have used a bit of TLC as they were starting to show a bit of rust, and the helmet supply could be increased. It's not common to wear them especially when you're not on the road with cars, but I always prefer keeping my brains inside my head when possible.
