DON'T WAIT TIL YOU'RE ALMOST 60 YEARS OLD LIKE I DID!!Excited and proud first-time investment property owner through my newly set up SMSF as a single female who has recently turned sixty!I first began researching the possibility of moving my superannuation from a Victorian State Government superannuation fund into an SMSF at the start of 2024, having heard of this investment strategy several years prior to that, and I can only say I wish I had taken this leap of faith much sooner!I contacted and had discussions with two other providers throughout 2024 and while they could provide the relevant information and answer my questions, they ultimately either stopped following up with me, presumably because I hadn't yet made a decision and worse than that, the second group requested I send through various pieces of sensitive information, eg superannuation statements, etc which they were going to analyse and check with their finance team to ensure that there would be no unexpected tax implications on my existing super, if I chose to move it into an SMSF. After three subsequent unanswered Emails, I phoned and spoke to another colleague of the person I had been liaising with, and while they reiterated the information I already had, I was left with the feeling that they were not at all passionate or committed to guiding me through such an significant process in order to allow me to make an informed decision and I was left feeling very disheartened.⭐This all changed though, after enquiring about an SMSF for one final time with Delphi & Co ⭐From the moment I was contacted by an initial phone call from Todd McCabe, his calm, friendly and incredibly patient demeanour, coupled with his exceptional knowledge of this investment strategy immediately made me feel at ease and at no time did I feel under any pressure whatsoever to move forward until I was ready to do so.
