We looked into group classes at other locations, but quickly realized we wanted private lessons to make the most of our time. There are plenty of dance studios around, but not too many who offer latin dance lessons, so we were pretty excited to come across Bella Vita Dance Company. Rose is a WONDERFUL teacher and her experience is impressive. We wanted to fake out our guests by starting with a slow song, record scratch, and then go into a salsa. She helped us create the track and shortened our 6 minute song down to a much more manageable 3 minutes. She also choreographed our dance and helped us learn each new segment week by week, building on the basic steps as we went along. Make no mistake, you get out what you put in. We had lots of practice sessions at home in between lessons, but the end result was so worth it. For our last lesson before the wedding, Rose very graciously arranged an audience with her other students and groups for us to practice and feel the difference dancing in front of a crowd so that our reception wasn’t the first time we would experience it. We really enjoyed our weekly dance lessons, it was so fun to learn something new together, and our guests were more than surprised when we broke out into our salsa portion of the dance. If you are thinking of taking dance lessons (just for fun or for a special event) do not hesitate to contact Bella Vita Dance Company! I love so much this Studio! And it is not only because of clear explanation of complicated movements, good speed of teaching, adjusted to everyone, beautiful dance room and nice dance floor. This is more than just team or students: people here became my new family. Communication, sharing life news, helping each other, going out, celebrating birthdays together and of course dancing.
