Last year, the owner requested to purchase my used i7 desktop from me multiple times for use with her business.
Before the purchase, I provided an extensive advisory as to the age of the device being ten years old. Buyer accepted my concerns and completed the transaction.
Device was fully functional without problems when mailed out. After buyer received the desktop, multiple issues arose.
Buyer stated the graphics card wasn't working with her monitor array so they mailed it back to me. Upon testing, the graphics card was completely functional. Buyer then informed me that they lost a screw within the desktop while removing the installed graphics card and did not attempt to find or remove the lost screw.
Weeks later buyer reported that a DIMM slot was no longer functional and would not boot. Upon RAM removal of DIMM slot 2, PC functionality was restored.
After 30 day warranty period, buyer insisted on a return saying they expected everything to be 'new' even though I informed buyer concerning the age of the device.
Device was received back non-operational, missing case parts, missing accessories, and missing memory modules. The missing items were deducted from the return value.
The sale of the unit was a loss and buyer insists that they are not at fault for any damage caused to the device.
I removed the 'lost' screw and the functionality of the DIMM 2 slot has been restored.
Recently, owner reports that I 'forced' her to purchase the unit and accuses me of intentionally pushing a bad sale.
Exercise caution when dealing with this business owner.
