SafeHaven Fire was very helpful in providing guidance on improving my defensible space and working on my gutters

My elderly mother would have lost her homeowners insurance had it not been for Zach's fast service and quick thinking. We had missed seeing a deadline for fire & brush safety mitigation and I live far away from my mom and had no idea what to do.Zach helped me by providing paperwork that got the insurance company to extend their deadlines - and he went out of the way to do this immediately - and he knew exactly what wording to use in the letter to the insurance company. My mom absolutely loved Zach's warm personality and he was very thoughtful about checking-in on our comfort level to remove some beautiful 20 year old junipers. He kept me in the loop about everything (very responsive by both email and text messaging) and considering the amount of work that was needed, the price was more than reasonable.Zach's paperwork & photographic documentation for the insurance company was perfect, and they immediately reinstated the insurance. He clearly explained the fire-protection measures, completed the work carefully on time, and made sure we understood the recommendations for our propertyI appreciated his attention to detail. I would absolutely recommend Safe Haven Fire to anyone looking for thoughtful, professional fire-hardening or defensible-space help. It is one of the better contractor experiences I have had. I would of course use him again.

We were considering buying a property in a wildfire prone area and Zach's assessment of the property was incredibly helpful in understanding the risks. He painted a clear picture of how we could mitigate that risk, including some steps that were less expensive than we had anticipated. The report he provided was also extremely detailed and thorough. If you're interested in understanding your wildfire risks what it would take to mitigate them, I would definitely recommend Zach.

This is a great outfit, totally versed in the knowledge and skills required to fire-harden a home. No detail is overlooked. Easy to work with, very responsive. Excellent documentation of their work is provided upon completion. 10/10, would use again.

Just as importantly, he genuinely cares about his customers and the safety of our Central Oregon communities. His passion, professionalism, and dedication are evident from the moment you meet him. Zachary and his assistant did an AMAZING job retrofitting the foundation and attic vents around our home with a higher grade wire mesh that should keep embers out in the event of a fire They also trimmed our Blue Spruce to reduce the chance of it posing a fire danger. They were diligent with their tasks, very organized, and extremely careful around our property. The finished product looks great! We feel more secure in our FireWire home.Zachary is very easy to work with, extremely knowledgeable about fire safeguards and the home insurance industry, and very fair in his pricing. We highly recommend him and his company, SafeHaven Fire Defense.

Zach really went above and beyond for us -- He did a thorough assessment of our home's wildfire risk. Unlike the standard recommendations which basically say you should clear cut everything within 5 feet of your home, Zach helped up to have a more nuanced understanding of the risks associated with our landscaping so that we could balance fire safety goals and landscape aesthetic goals. He also installed ember proof vent covers for us and put a lot of work into making sure they looked good and fit with the aesthetic of our home. We highly recommend him!

Zach is very diligent, responsive, and thorough, providing a science-backed defensible space evaluation.

We feel very fortunate to have found Zach to help us with our property and our insurance. He installed ember-resistant mesh under our eaves and compiled an excellent report cataloging all of the fuel mitigation done on our property. Our insurance agent said his report was the most impressive she had ever seen! I highly recommend SafeHaven Fire for anyone needing fire-hardening work.
