2024 New years resolution, to lose weight and get healthy… same as every year. I absolutely hated exercise, gyms, gym clothes so I gave myself a million excuses and put off starting until the end of February. After countless attempts to commit to various other gyms/ boot camps/ weight loss schemes I spied an advertisement for Tribe Fitness and decided to enquire. Eoghan explained the idea of Small Group Training sessions and the accountability he and myself would have as part of the training process. It sounded manageable and he was very reassuring so I was definitely more encouraged that he would be supportive and take into account existing injuries and help build on weaknesses.
I have now just completed my 2nd month at Tribe fitness and to say I am overjoyed is an understatement. I was significantly overweight and under motivated, living a fairly inactive and sedate lifestyle whilst making poor meal choices. Eoghan has really changed my mindset when it comes to weight loss, endurance and nutrition in a small and achievable way. He has tailored the programme to be manageable, and personally checks in weekly and really has shown me the importance of consistency in both diet and strength training. He also never just abandons you to the mercy of some machine and persists to correct your technique to prevent you injuring yourself. I really can’t thank him enough for the changes he has made in such a short time scale.
The atmosphere and camaraderie with the other Tribe Community members is so supportive and encouraging, with long serving members checking in on the Newbies. I have accomplished so many personal triumphs in the last few months that I didn’t anticipate; daily tasks have become easier, I am healthier, stronger, more motivated and more determined that if I continue things can only get better. I am proud to say I have not missed a single session and I am starting to enjoy exercising. I am now 22lbs down, and showing no signs of stopping. I would thoroughly recommend Tribe fitness to anyone who is struggling to be consistent in prioritising their own health and fitness. If I can do it anyone can.
