Honey Badger Renovations

⭐⭐☆☆☆
We hired Honey Badger Renovations to complete drywall, painting, and other updates before moving into our new home. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet the expectations that were set when we hired them.
We were told the project would take approximately three weeks. Instead, it extended to six weeks and was still not complete when we were scheduled to move in.
The biggest issue was a consistent lack of attention to detail. During the project and final walkthrough, we found numerous items that should have been caught before the job was considered complete, including:
• A cabinet that was never painted.
• A pantry door that was never reinstalled.
• A smoke detector left completely covered with masking paper and tape after painting.
• A light switch painted over to the point it now needs to be replaced.
• Multiple paint touch-ups left throughout the home.
• Interior doors returned dirty with handprints and stains that we had to clean ourselves.
On what was supposed to be our final walkthrough, Dan arrived with his wife and children helping finish work. Jeff and I ended up doing work ourselves just to keep our move on schedule. Even after that, the project still wasn’t finished.
To Dan’s credit, he did offer to return a few days later to paint the forgotten cabinet. However, by that point we were moving into the house, and after waiting six weeks, we felt we shouldn’t have to continue scheduling additional visits to complete work that should have been finished before move-in.
Construction projects don’t have to be perfect, and delays can happen. What disappointed us most was the lack of ownership attention to detail and quality control. The project took twice as long as originally represented, yet there was little acknowledgment of the inconvenience or impact it had on us.
Dan is personable and easy to talk to, but communication, attention to detail, and follow-through are just as important as being friendly. I hope this feedback helps Honey Badger Renovations improve because those areas made the difference in our experience.
