I've been working out here for a little over a year now and agree with many of the other reviewers. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable trainers, an upbeat yet low pressure environment, and groupls small enough that you'll get the benefits of personal training from a small group of people while getting to know some of the regulars as well. My time here has helped me push through 5 years of shoulder issues that I just thought I'd be living with forever. I actually feel strong again and I'm glad I found this place!

At 78, I knew I needed to start strength training, but I didn’t expect to find a place like Breakthrough. The level of professionalism and personal attention here is outstanding. The trainers are knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely motivating—they really take the time to understand your goals and help you reach them.I especially appreciate the small class sizes, which make the experience feel personal and supportive. I started training at Breakthrough Performance about six months ago while recovering from herniated discs in my neck and back, and it’s honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Eric, Evan and Mark take the time to get to know you—not just your fitness level, but your goals, limitations and what motivates you.When I first joined, I had a hip injury that was really holding back my daily life and reaching my fitness goals. I appreciate how individualized they make everything feel, not only for me but for everyone. They pay close attention to each client's abilities and adjust the workouts accordingly, so you're always challenged but not overwhelmed. This is not a one size fits all program they meet you where you are and help you steadily improve.The atmosphere at Breakthrough is supportive and encouraging. I recently started going to Breakout Performance and it’s been such a great experience.The classes are small—usually around 4–8 people—so you get a lot of individual attention, almost like having a personal trainer but without the personal trainer price tag. The trainers are fantastic at meeting you where you are. They’ll adjust exercises based on your strength, experience, or any injuries, and always offer alternatives so you can still get a great workout no matter your level.It’s also a really comfortable, friendly place. No intimidation, no ego—just a welcoming environment where you can do your thing and feel good about it. They also run periodic team and individual challenges that are fun and super motivating.If you’re looking for a place that feels encouraging, personalized, and effective, this is it. I started coming here about 6 months ago with my wife. She dragged me in but I’m so happy that she did. I couldn’t do a split squat because of my knees and balance. Now I can easily do that, I’m adding weights to all of my lifts, I’m stronger overall. I know I need to exercise, this has been great for me. The atmosphere is small groups and it feels like having a personal trainer. Highly recommend

Loads of equipment, impeccableThey have schedules that accommodate just about everyone’s needs.I’ve been working with “ Evan” . He’s a true professional, knowledgeable . I was never really a gym person, but I was looking for something that would push me and help me reach my goals. As a dad of two, flexibility and efficiency are really important to me. About a year ago I tore my ACL, so finding the right environment to safely rebuild strength was a big priority. Breakthrough has been incredible throughout that process. The coaches really focus on teaching proper form and helping you progress the right way, which has helped me feel stronger and more energized than I have in a long time.I love how easy the app makes scheduling, and the class flexibility makes it manageable even with a busy schedule. Moved to East Northport a few months ago and was trying to find a new gym. Thankfully was able to find Breakthrough Performance on Instagram and couldn’t be happier. It’s a great atmosphere to workout with great trainers. Eric and Marc have been amazing and very helpful during my time there. The sessions have been really great and I am already feeling a difference in such a short amount of time. Would recommend Breakthrough Performance to anyone who is looking for a gym where everyone is welcome at all levels. You definitely will not be disappointed!!

This place ROCKS for real!!! 1. Although it is group workouts, it feels like PERSONAL training because the classes are super small and personal. They know you and tailor exercises to your level and needs. I have very real back issues and was hesitant to train again because of them and I have had ZERO issues with pain or injuring myself. 2. Being held accountable for actually making it to the gym was really important to me. I have an insane work schedule and would slack on my workouts but the schedule here is extremely flexible and it is so easy to book on my own time. 3. The workouts are super fun and go by fast. Literally after a full hr of class I am always shocked that we are done. It’s crazy. 4. Lastly, the trainers are genuinely kind and good people. They care about you. I am hooked on this place and my fitness goals because of this place. Thank you a million times over Breakthrough Performance!!! 😀😀😀

It's been hard to find a fitness routine to stay in shape after retiring 8 years ago, but the coaches at breakthrough really help and keep me motivated. They learn about you, give you a good workout, and select the weights that are right for you. Then they increase them in accordance with your ability. The small group training classes are great, everyone is very friendly and supportive but the classes are still small enough to get one on one guidance from the coaches. Ive been here only a couple months and am down a few pants sizes while getting stronger. Highly recommend!

My son (middle school) really enjoys going to Breakthrough gym. He wanted to get stronger and have more endurance. I love that they teach them the correct way to work out so they start off with good habits that are safe, especially while they are growing so much at this stage. We are absolutely thrilled with the training here! The trainers truly understand how to work with teens, and my son actually looks forward to going every single week. Eric and team are amazing. Our 12 year has been training here for a few months now and loves every second of it. He’s adding strength, agility and speed every week. Results are undeniable. The best part is that they make it fun. Our son loves going and looks forward to it every week. It’s taken his lax game to the next level. Highly recommended.
