Esteban is a phenomenal guitar teacher and just a wonderful person all around. His is kind, thoughtful and has a great sense of humor. His depth and breadth of musical knowledge is astounding. He can teach you anything you want to know. He will listen to what your goals and dreams are and do everything he can to help you get there. And on top of that, his passion and excitement for music is inspiring and contagious. It truly brings him joy to share it all with his students and I have had an incredible experience working with him. Anyone would be so fortunate to get to learn from such a talented teacher.

I count myself as fortunate to have been a student of Esteban’s, albeit for far too short of time due to an unexpected life curveball, and I hope it’s in the stars for me to get back to him in the future. As a late middle aged man that has bounced around teachers in the pre internet era and then YouTube “self teaching” I pretty much just noodled and made noise. In a short time Esteban pulled me out of the noodling dull drum and really struck a chord with me. Although life is currently getting in the way of my learning from Esteban, he gave me some valuable insight into how I can improve that should get me down the road aways with the hope of studying with Esteban again. In an attempt to describe his method in a tangible way, Esteban actually listened to me play and recognized that I have some technical skills where other teachers I’ve had just seemed to go into a canned curriculum. He didn’t discard my skill and knowledge but built upon it. I can’t imagine that there is a better teacher out there for me. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

My son absolutely loved taking guitar lessons from Esteban! Esteban is a very gifted musician and excellent teacher. He is well versed in all different kinds of music and always found songs that my son loved!

Been taking lessons here for about a year. Esteban is a great teacher, his instructional design is driven by his formal training/education in music; he also still plays gigs so you get a lot for what you pay for. I highly recommend Boise Arts Academy!
