We recently visited Redline and left with mixed feelings.The karts were nice, and one thing I really appreciated was that they allow kids 48” and taller to race. That gave my younger kids an opportunity to experience driving, which was a highlight of the visit.However, I was unpleasantly surprised by some of the extra costs. Helmets were an additional $5 each, and head socks were another $3 each (you can avoid those charges if you bring your own). We used a 25% discount, which brought our total to about $265 for six racers racing twice with helmet and head sock rentals. Without the discount, the total would have been over $330.Another disappointment was learning that all first-time racers are automatically limited to “normal mode.” Previous racing experience elsewhere apparently doesn’t count, and access to full-speed racing is only available after proving yourself through their progression system. While I understand the safety reasoning, it felt restrictive and wasn’t clearly communicated beforehand.Overall, the facility was clean, the karts were good, and the kids had fun. But between the extra fees and the speed restrictions for first-time visitors, the experience felt expensive for our family. I’d rate it 3/5 stars. Unfortunately, at those prices, it’s hard for us to justify coming back regularly.
