We originally booked a 1-room condo good for 8 people through Agoda and got a confirmation right away. But shortly after, we received a message saying there was a system glitch and the unit was no longer available. They asked us to message the Hubomoto Facebook page for assistance — and honestly, that’s when we got scared. We saw a lot of negative reviews on the page, which made us uneasy and unsure about what would happen next. To our surprise, they were very responsive and accommodating. They offered us two replacement units (one good for 6, the other for 2), and luckily, the new location was also good — closer to SM Festive Walk Iloilo, which was our main destination. The units were clean, nice, and comfortable. We split 4 people in each room, and everything went smoothly from there. One issue though: we requested early check-in at 2:00 PM since we were checking out at 3:00 AM, and they agreed, free of charge. But when we arrived at 2:00 PM, the hotel receptionist told us we couldn’t check in yet because they hadn’t received the authorization letter with our names. We had to call and follow up again, and ended up waiting over 30 minutes. While they did respond quickly, we hope they can improve this part by sending all needed documents to the hotel ahead of time. Overall, despite the initial scare and hiccups, we had a good experience. Clean units, good location, and responsive staff. Just hoping for better coordination next time! :)
