I have been on and off horses my whole childhood, I've taken lessons from just about every style and discipline at various levels of care and structure. After taking a bad fall as an adult, my confidence was shaken. I searched high and low for someone I could trust to take me from shaking in my boots to finding that special joy that can only come from the relationship between person and horse. Then I found Angie Highes Horsemanship. Angie Hughes is an incredible horse woman and instructor. As well as Cecile who has been my instructor. Cecile has unshakable patience and a great sense of humor that keeps me wanting to come back for more. She has listened to my concerns, helped me through my fears and is helping me see the rider I can be. They take in kids and adults and have a relaxed atmosphere that is comfortable while also maintaining a beautiful facility. They can meet you at whatever level you're at. If you have your own horse and need some polishing or if you've never even touched a horse, they will be able to help you. They offer group or private lessons and diferent membership programs that make it easy to schedule your lessons and make payments. The horses, oh my gosh the horses. Every horse I have met/ridden here are amazing. They are clearly treated kindly and with respect. They have soul and brains that create good riders. I've seen these horses carry small children and seasoned adults. They know their jobs and are truly happy to do them. They're not just brainwashed animals that do the same thing every day. They are happy, healthy and beautiful too! When I come here for my weekly lesson, I can let go of my daily worries and truly enjoy myself. I am proud to be part of this community of lovely riders that call this their happy place! I could gush all day about this place, but I'll stop now. I'd give ten thousand stars if I could! Less
