Stunning spa. As someone who's worked in the spa industry for two years, I can definitively say that El Leon is a unique gem. The interior is a MASTERPIECE of design - full of carved wood, ornate doors, plants, fountains, and candles. Another thing that makes this place unique is the specialty practice of Thai massage: where, instead of a massage table, you lie on a mat on the floor while the therapist stretches and pulls all the tight spots. I always leave on cloud 9. They also offer facials with Eminence skincare products, which is a really great organic line focused on sustainability. Overall, really great and unique spa. We live nearby and went in for a couples 90 min massage. The spa is an oasis and feels super calm and welcoming. Not pretentious at all. I felt that the people there cared a lot about what type of massage we wanted and my massage therapist paid excellent attention to my requests. I think the combination of thai/shiatsu deep tissue and more traditional western massage gave me a well rounded experience. Seriously, so much tension melted away. Fair prices.
