We brought my 2 year old today for his first haircut, and they did such a great job! My kiddo is squirmy, and they accommodated him so well and were so patient. We are extremely happy with the result. The first hair cut comes with a picture, certificates and a small bag with a lock of their hair.

Love how the salon is set up for little and big kids. The stylist really gave my daughter a cut she loves. Honestly, she was the first stylist to really bring out my daughter's curls! My daughter also loved getting her nails painted after. We will be returning for sure.

Our son has extensive sensory issues and they were amazing with him! The stylist was more than understanding and the owners were accommodating and helpful throughout the process! The salon is clean and well maintained. Our family left very happy and will be returning again!

We had such a wonderful experience at Sharkey’s for Ayla’s very first haircut! 💕 Everyone was so sweet, patient, and made the whole experience feel extra special for her. She even got a complimentary manicure and arm painting, which she absolutely loved! 💅🎨She left so happy and excited, and I’m so glad her first haircut was such a positive memory. We went to Sharkey’s today with our 2.5-year-old and had such a great experience! From the moment we walked in, he loved the place and the whole vibe. He immediately picked the fire truck and happily sat in it for his entire haircut—which is a big win with a 2.5-year-old!It was their grand opening in Bolingbrook, and the staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and really knew how to handle a toddler and make him feel comfortable. He was completely pampered with a hair wash, shark tattoo, lollipop, and balloon. He loved all the little extras!I also noticed they have Xbox gaming stations for older kids, which is such a cool idea and gives them something fun to do while getting their haircut.We’ve tried other kids’ haircut places before, but this was by far our best experience. We’ll definitely be coming back. I think we’ve officially found our go-to haircut place for our son!

Went in today for the grand opening in Bolingbrook. I often took my kids to Kidsnips for haircuts or if we didn't have time to book ahead, sometimes to Great Clips. Excited for Sharkey's as it's geared towards kids, but closer to our home.The service listed indicated that they would do a wash for both a boy's haircut and a girl's, but they only offered to wash my daughter's hair.I like that they have fun different cars to sit in, and an area where older kids can play video games during their cut. The cars seemed like real cars mounted as the buttons were operational. They had a pink Trolls Jeep, a Lightning McQueen, a purple Lamborghini type car, and a fire truck. They also have TVs at each station to entertain your child.Today, during grand opening, they had someone outside doing Face paint and animal/ character balloons, so that was a fun surprise.I like that they don't have a GIANT selection of toys like Kidsnips, but they were still selling a few smaller things like squish dumplings, etc.For my 2 to get their haircuts, took about 30 minutes. I'm glad they were both able to be seated at same time.In terms of the actual cuts, I'm mostly satisfied. The lady was insisting that my daughter's bangs start too far back and wanted to bring them forward. Unfortunately, now her bangs are still in her eyes though because she refuses hair clips. The stylist seemed very focused on a precise cut. I feel like my motto with kids is speed over accuracy, so that's something to keep in mind.Definitely plan to return. The online booking process is simple.
