A few years ago, my parents returned to NJ. They needed to find new Medicare Advantage plans as theirs were state specific. I reached out to Steve and found him to be remarkably helpful. He reviewed their current plans, and medications. Steve asked insightful questions, while not becoming intrusive. He asked about what their costs were prior to NJ, and what they would like to see regarding premiums, co-pays and cost of prescriptions. I was able to provide names of physicians they would be seeing. Steve gave several suggestions, with the breakdown of each plan, including plans that covered eye, dental and hearing exams, that my parents wanted included. The choice was my parent's, with no pressure to chose one over the other. He answered their questions and when asked what he would recommend, he did so honestly, without pressure to chose his recommendation. Since my parents have different needs they chose different plans. My father remains with the same plan nearly 3 years later. My mother decided she wanted to try a new plan when open enrollment began a year later She felt her original choice had too many limitations. Again, Steve presented the options, without pressure and my mother was happy with the new plan. My mother would have been happy to keep it, but the Insurnace company eliminated that particular plan. Once again, we called Steve and once again he came through. She ultimately chose the same insurance company, just a different plan. He is as thorough on the third year as he was on the first 2 years. Steve asks if my father wants to review his plan and each year, the answer has been no thank you. Steve never pushes to have him look into something else if he is happy with his current plan. There is no cost to my parents for Steve's service which is a relief to them. The changes made each year with Medicare options have become more difficult to sift through and I am grateful Steve makes the process considerably less stressful.
