I have found a new scambeing perpetrated on Colorado Springs residents. Two companies, Home Heating Service and Dad'sHandyman both charges $100. to come out to do a quote on repairs. The scam is that they come out butsay they can not help, and no quote as to repairs is given. I had a group of things that neededrepair: a broken mirror pane in a china hutch, a new faucet, a door that let air in, a new lock, and othersmall items. Neither company provided a quote; they just said sorry and could not help. My son was present forone of the inspections, and on the Home Heating service, he said the equipment in the truck had notbeen used for repair of anything, even the sewer snake was unused, and no other tools showed use.
