When my wife first mentioned the idea of hiring a doula, I was quite skeptical and honestly not very interested. I figured that in this day and age, everything we needed to know and could care to learn about could be found online. We already had friends and family for in person support. I thought to myself… what would a doula do for us other than be another expense? I’m glad I kept my thoughts to myself and trusted my wife’s plan. She interviewed a handful of doulas, and ultimately chose Bri. Bri’s positive energy, enthusiasm, and thoughtfulness stood out from the rest. Throughout the entire process, my wife and I both felt very confident and comfortable in preparing for our new arrival. The biggest benefit of all was having Bri present during labor and delivery. I truly believe having her in the room to guide us made the experience as smooth as could be. Prior to this, I didn’t even know what a doula was. To be honest with you Briana is an awesome person who decided to be a Doula. My wife and I were looking for Doula’s to help us with our birth experience. This was our first pregnancy and we were really nervous about our birth plan. With some research we found Briana who was local to the Riverside area, which was important to us because we live in Corona and our birthing hospital was in San Bernardino. We knew the Doula to parent-child relationship was important and Briana’s qualifications, positive statements and outcomes on her website reflected her holistic care approach.As a first time father, I wasn’t knowledgeable about Doula’s, what they do or what to expect. Briana does multiple home visits before your due date, really helping educate me about how essential Doulas are. Each meeting further reinforced that my wife and I were making the right decision. Briana was always on time, enthusiastic, and compassionately confident.My wife was due around Christmas Day, but we ended up delivering around New Year’s Day, it was also in the middle of one of the worst rain storms in Southern California. We called Briana, and the future grandparents to meet us at the hospital at the same time and Briana beat them to the hospital.My wife’s guess date was around Christmas Day and Briana emphatically explained that she would be there for us and not to worry about any holidays stopping her from supporting us. Although my wife ended up going into labor after the holidays, and we endured one of the worst rain storms, Briana promptly arrived at the hospital. When she got to the hospital, Briana was a watchful guardian over my wife, unborn child and the birthing space. She helped maintain a bubble of peace in the labor room that I’m not afraid to admit, as a loving husband I could not do alone. Without being prompted or asked and seemingly always knowing what my wife needed, Briana would switch between massaging my wife's shoulders or feet, providing aroma therapy, or reassuring words of guidance about the birthing process. I firmly believe that it was Briana's efforts that helped my wife have a natural, unmedicated birth like we wrote in our birth plan. She stayed with us through 10 hours of labor, advocated for my wife throughout labor and delivery, stayed with us until we were settled in the postpartum unit, and provided us with sustenance to help promote the recovery process postpartum. Briana went as far as to provide emotional support to our parents who were waiting anxiously in the waiting room. She maintained the perfect balance of advocacy, professionalism, mother-centered care and emotional support.Briana also does postpartum home visits. My wife and I asked her to come over the day we brought our beautiful new baby home and she came over enthusiastically and helped us get settled in.Long story short, Briana is the Lebron James of birth workers. She was the leader of our birth team and led us to achieve our birth plan, a healthy baby with a natural unmedicated birth.

I would absolutely recommend Brianna! Although she wasn’t able to be there for the actual birth of my child, as things moved quickly, The guidance and emotional help she gave before and after birth is priceless! She’s extremely respectful, prioritizes your needs throughout the whole process, And has so much insight to offer into making the pregnancy, birth, postpartum journey so much easier! This was my third pregnancy and baby and I’m so grateful to have had her during this one! Best outcome I could ever ask for.

I truly could not have gone through my labor without her. From the start, she was so supportive, encouraging, and reassuring. As a first-time mom, she helped educate and prepare us, but once those contractions hit and everything I learned went out the door, she was right there reminding me, grounding me, and guiding me through every step.Her support didn’t stop after birth either. We hired Bri as our doula and she was absolutely fantastic. She was such a loving presence during our birth and really listened to my needs. She was a necessary part of our team and helped so that her and my spouse could help me get through the birthing process. She has also continued to be a guide postpartum. We highly recommend her as a doula. She has just the right touch of gentle but firm that will get you through birthing especially during the more intense moments.
