Taking on the challenge of committing myself to Gracie Barra has been one of the best experiences of my life! Before starting I was in a bad place mentally and physically. I was 260lbs and I lacked discipline. Things started off slow, but at a certain point I decided that I wanted to be better than what I’d shown, and once I’d come to that conclusion my professors were there to guide me. Professor Jamisin was there push me toward greatness, showing me how to push past my limits and dedicate myself to putting in the work, and through that work I was able to overcome my mental barriers and progress. Professor Salenko has also been a great influence on my journey providing a daily challenge that continues to hone my skills toward the goal of mastery. Through their guidance as well as other Professors such as: Miguel, Leo, Caesar, Himundo, and Eriks; as well as a highly accomplished training partners; not only have I gotten down to 230lbs in 3 months, but mentally I feel sharper than ever!!! Such an awesome experience! I’ve also done jiu-jitsu classes at the Clermont location, but I feel like in my private lesson here I learned so much more and I also learned why and when we do certain moves. The staff is very kind and the place is extremely clean. If you know anything about jiu-jitsu its best not to wear socks and I felt completely comfortable walking on the mats barefoot. Less

Amazing program!!! I cannot speak highly enough about Champions Path Program. This program has been a transformative experience for our entire family. The discipline, mentorship and positive reinforcement implemented has improved my son’s behavior at home and school. Traditional disciplinary methods weren’t working, for example, Time-out, Grounding, and taking away video games were ineffective. But this program, Champions Path Program has been very effective.Before joining this program, my sons both struggled with impulsive behavior, poor decision making, and lacked accountability.Now my sons have a deeper respect for self and others in a way that feels empowering rather than punitive. It has only been 3 months and I have seen a complete turnaround in their attitude and mindset. I’ve asked my sons “why” the change , and they responded, “I want to be great”, not average. Found a gym w structure/a curriculum. My new BJJ home is filled w fantastic Professors starting w Professor Jamisin and Professor Salenco. I attend the noon class everyday (I try to make every day of the week) and classes build on a Bjj element through the week. For me this works well in retaining the variety of choices in moves whether its sweeps/passing the guard or any other element of Bjj. I am so thankful for my new Bjj tribe/home.
