There are way more expensive alert devices on the market but that doesn't mean it is necessary to pay more for the same level of security. I am aware of monthly charges that exceed the amount that this company charges and yet I will not recommend paying more. I am also aware of other companies selling the actual devices that are worn that cost way more. I am completely satisfied with this particular device. Less

I got this for my dad and he feels much safer with this around his neck. It was pretty easy set up, he did it himself, and the system works as described after he tested it. I’m so glad this has a GPS device. He’s an outdoorsman so him and I both appreciate the ease of pushing a button if something goes wrong (God forbid) instead of dialing any number. He did report that the battery does not last as long as it claims. It says six days but it was only a couple days before needing charging. Plus, it took quite long to charge. The instructions state that it’s supposed to charge quicker.UPDATE: I am very impressed at how quickly this company responds when the alert button is pressed. My dad has had this for about five months now. One night, he was getting ready for bed around 10:00 p.m. and placed this medical device on its charger. Somehow, he inadvertently pressed the alert and the company tried to call him but he didn’t answer (thinking it was a spam call.) As his emergency contact, the company then called me. But I, too, did not answer (also thinking it was spam.) They left a voice mail and when I listened, I immediately called back. I was instantly connected to a person who already had me and my dad’s info. They told me about the alert and that the ambulance was in route to his house. I hurried up and called dad who answered and told me that he accidentally pressed the button. The company actually called him a second time in which he answered. They then cancelled the ambulance service when they were sure he was okay. I called them back to confirm that they cancelled the ambulance and they did. In total, four separate employees contacted my dad and I within a few minutes time span all for his welfare check. I’m so relieved that they acted so quickly and were very easy to get a hold of in what could have been an emergency. This device has made both my dad and I feel much relieved.
