I felt extremely uncomfortable about my experience with Valspa.
On the day of my appointment, Val seemed to have a cold ( or Covid?). She kept coughing with her mask under her chin and her hand covering her mouth. After we walked into the room, she didn't bother sanitizing her hands before touching my face for 20-30 seconds when explaining her plan of my procedure. Really? Touch someone face with the unsanitized hand that covered your coughs minutes ago?
When I was already lying down for the procedure, she held her phone toward me and asked if she could take a photo of my lips. It appeared more of FYI than asking for permission from me.
When the procedure was almost finished, she started to APPLY FOUNDATION TO MY FACE! This was definitely not the scope of my procedure. I got confused and didn't know her intention until she held her phone close to my face again. She wanted my skin to look good in her photos!
Why would you apply something to your customer's face that's irrelevant to the procedure without any notice?
A week after my procedure, I found out that she posted my photos and VIDEOS on her Instagram. Yes, not only photos but also videos! Val never communicated with me that she'd use them on her social media. Otherwise, I would have said no.
The result is just ok, but this is the most painful and disrespectful procedure I have ever had. I don't recommend this place and will never go back.
