I never knew you could feel a bait and switch going to a doctor, but we sure did! Called to inquire about co-pay while debating between visiting them and visiting Costco and wanted to confirm that it would in fact just be a better idea to establish as a patient at a doctors office but clarified that we needed a contact lens fitting. Came in and verified insurance, had exam, and all of a sudden, as we're ready to leave, they asked for almost $400 more than what I was told on the phone as my co-pay PLUS an additional $45 for a "contact lense training" for a new wearer. Mind you, ALL of what they did, the exam, eyeglass script, and lense fitting (with new contact lenses wearer), would have been $120 each at Costco WITHOUT insurance. They literally LIED to me to guilt me to pay SOMETHING saying they could lose their license if I did not pay for service rendered or if they gave a discount. Not to mention, they were running late and the entire visit lasted longer than a typical Costco visit. What a waste of time and now I have to keep my fingers crossed that I can take my vision benefits to Costco in order to get a contact lens fitting without having to pay twice. Better frame selection at Costco and Eyeglass world as well as other shops.

I always look forward to my appointments, Dr Johnson and his staff are super friendly and always pleasant with stellar service! Been going there for a long time and highly recommend I have had a problem finding a Dr that can help me see as my vision is really bad. Dr Johnson has experience with people like myself and I can say this is the best I’ve seen in years with multiple eye surgeries including a buckle in my right eye. All I can say is have been truly blessed to have this place I was turned on by a friend in 2015 and great progress has happened with my vision. Thank you Dr Johnson and staff for the amazing sevice 🙏🏻

They are wonderful there! From the minute you walk in the door to the end. All the Staff and Dr Johnson are just great!! We've been going there for many years and every year it's the same. I recently moved to Mesa, I have been going to doctor Johnson for about 7 years now and didn’t really have a reason to change based on location. However after today that will change. I left my home with easily 30 minutes to spare before my appointment time. However due to some unfortunate and unforeseen traffic issues I was 13 minutes late. They told me I had to reschedule even tho I had just spent the last hour and 20 minutes in traffic. The receptionist was cold rude and unwilling to help or budge. I understand schedules are important but i guess they have a very tight schedule. Honestly with this office nothing has wowed me or impressed me enough to make it worth going so far out of my way anyways I’m just more disappointed I wasted most of my day off for this bs

I called Tuesday around 10:30 AM with an emergency - my only pair of glasses had broken and a lens fell out right before work, and I can't drive without them. The staff was extremely helpful and got me in less than an hour later, and fixed my glasses during the eye exam. With a doctor and staff like this, I won't put off doing a regular eye exam like I had been for the last umpteen years. �

I have been a patient of Dr. Johnson for many years. I have never felt more comfortable with any doctor and his staff! They are all wonderful and very friendly. They are always willing to help. When ordering glasses they always come in faster then they say and I have never had a bad experience purchasing glasses. If you are looking for a family eye doctor Dr. Johnson is number 1!

My husband and I just had our first visit to Advanced Eye Care. I have to tell you....I don't think our experience could have been any better. The staff is AMAZING. Welcoming, professional but fun. I was so comfortable with everyone. Dr. Johnson was wonderful. I felt like the ladies in the office had known me for years. They took such good care of us. I called for an appointment on a Monday and I was able to get seen the next day.,I was able to print out all the forms I needed to fill out. And when I got there in the morning I only had to wait 2-3 minutes to go into the back. The assistants knew what they were supposed to do and how to do it; The doctor didn't make us wait forever like most doctors do. He was very nice and made me feel comfortable. And when my glasses were in( they said 10 to 14 days but came in sooner) they remembered me and what problems had with my previous glasses. I will most certainly go back there and in fact I made my appointment for 2017 right after I finished my first appointment. They truly rock!
