Because of the nature of our business, our company has numerous shifts and shift types that are available to our field employees. With our 24 hour operation, scheduling can be a nightmare and is a tedious process we go through every month. For years we had been using an Excel spreadsheet and manually entering the data, creating shifts and adjusting them to the trends in our call volume. Matthew suggested he could automate the process and save us a lot of time and money. The scheduler he created has been a transformative breakthrough for us in streamlining the process. What took many grueling hours over several days now takes only a few hours. The financial advantages have been significant. Because the schedule was not adjusted, as client demand changed, thousands of dollars were wasted on payroll resources not being utilized properly. Also, as it takes less man hours to complete and, because it’s so easy, our Operations team is actually doing it!
