I would not recommend this office for anyone dealing with a serious back injury or significant pain. The chiropractor may be fine for minor adjustments or routine care, but based on my experience, I do not believe this office has the experience or properly trained staff to handle more severe cases.I went there trusting them with my health while dealing with a significant back issue. They strongly encouraged me to undergo spinal decompression. During the procedure, the assistant handling the decompression table did not appear to be properly trained in operating the equipment or even in safely positioning and assisting a patient who was already in severe pain.The most concerning part happened at the end of the decompression treatment. Instead of allowing the automated decompression cycle to gradually release as it was supposed to, the procedure was ended improperly. I immediately screamed out in extreme pain. I could not stand up for several minutes afterward, and staff had to help me walk.The chiropractor later acknowledged that they may have used too much pressure during the decompression. That admission made the entire experience even more concerning to me.I am now 15 weeks out from this incident and still dealing with the consequences. What was supposed to help my original injury instead resulted in a major setback and significantly prolonged my recovery.Even some of the basic treatment setup made me question the experience level of the office. For example, their TENS treatment had me sitting upright in a chair rather than being positioned comfortably while receiving treatment. When I questioned it, I was told this was the "new way." Combined with everything else I experienced, I simply did not have confidence that the staff was sufficiently seasoned or trained for someone with a serious condition.I trusted this office with my health, and that trust was completely lost. When you are treating people with significant spinal or back problems, there is very little room for mistakes involving equipment, pressure settings, patient positioning, or decompression procedures.Based on what happened to me, I believe the training, supervision, and procedures at this office deserve serious scrutiny. I would strongly encourage anyone with a severe back condition to seek treatment from a provider and staff with extensive experience managing complex cases before undergoing procedures such as spinal decompression from this place.
