In November 2024, I started Semaglutide with a local nurse practitioner. By the end of April 2025, I lost 40 pounds. However, I had zero medical guidance and support from that prescriber. I'm a 65-year-old male, 5' 11". At one point in my life, I weighed more than 300 pounds. When I started the Semaglutide, I weighed 265 pounds. I now weigh about 227 pounds; still 50 pounds overweight. I was so dissatisfied with the previous medical guidance, that I simply stopped my Semaglutide but continued to exercise about 1.5 hours/day. After several internet searches for other weight loss clinics offering Semaglutide, I discovered Fountain of Youth. I had a 'telehealth' phone call with Dr. Leija and I learned that they offer better, more comprehensive weight loss programs with proper medical supervision. The cost? About the same as the previous practitioner. I believe I will be successful meeting my goal weight with the Fountain of Youth team by the end of 2025 with medical supervision, clinical analysis of blood draws, managing protein intake/dietary advice and plenty of exercise to build lean muscle while burning fat. I am very happy I spoke with Dr. Leija at Fountain of Youth and that they offer what I think is a reasonably priced medical service and Semaglutide prescription for people like me who need to improve their health.
