I have known Jay since he was in elementary school. He was the fine son of good neighbors. As the wheel of life spins 'round, I long since have reached the age when Jay is helping me. One of the first instances occurred nearly 30 years ago when the most saintly cat with whom I ever have shared my home died. Jay offered genuine comfort, insight, and counseling at the time of this event. He fully grasped that I had lost a family member, not "just a cat." In the intervening years, he has offered excellent support for the loss of a family member and all of the complex issues that were involved -- legal, medical, logistical, financial, emotional, and the range of options available to meet our family's needs. He continues to be there to support us as needs have arisen and continues to be one of the finest neighbors I ever have known. Jay is caring, intelligent, wise, knowledgeable, earnest, and flexible in his offers of support. His ethics are stellar. A change in realms is a natural consequence that all of us must navigate at some point. I could not recommend a better person than Jay at the Sperling Funeral Home to assist in guidance through loss and all of the attendant details that must be dealt with, both arising immediately and often later on.

We couldn’t have asked for an easier experience during a difficult time. Jay was so kind and handled absolutely everything and it turned out wonderful. My mother looked so nice, he transported her to eastern PA contacted the church, the cemetery, the florist and the engraver for her headstone. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you Jay for everything.

From the moment we contacted Jay, still reeling from the sudden and devastating loss of my dad, he provided immediate comfort and assurance. He visited us the same day, promising to handle all urgent needs and arranging a meeting for the following day.During our meeting, Jay guided us with patience and empathy as we navigated difficult decisions. His background in counseling, combined with his expertise in funeral services, was evident in his compassionate approach.What truly set Jay apart was his dedication to ensuring every detail was perfect for my father’s service. Our family frequently revisited and adjusted our decisions, and Jay accommodated each change with remarkable flexibility and calmness. Words cannot adequately express how I feel about the services rendered by Jay Sperling. He worked diligently with me and my pastor to put together one of the most perfect memorial services ever. He took all the weight from my shoulders when my husband passed. I trusted him and my trust was rewarded handsomely.

Jay and his associates Will and Art at Sperling Funeral Home did a wonderful job with my father's funeral services. My father had end stage cancer, so we started making preparations in advance. My brother took my Mom to meet Jay in advance, and she really liked Jay, and thought the funeral home was beautiful. Jay was always promptly available by phone and text to answer all the questions we had. Jay gave us suggestions of the timing, and order of the services, and had suggested us to go with the informal "meet and greet" style viewing, which took a lot of the stress away from us having to stand and "receive" and shake hands with everyone. We met the day before to finalize the plans, walk through the service, the video we wanted to be playing, and the timing. Jay's attention to detail was so comforting. The day of the services turned out perfectly. Will and Art were there to greet us, and asked us if there was anything we needed. There were even water bottles for the family to have in the refrigerator. We had the entire funeral home open for us to spread out. My Dad's celebration of life services were right across the hall in a large room. We asked Jay if they could record the celebration of life so we could watch it in the future. Jay kindly uploaded the video onto a YouTube link, and shared it with us in a timely fashion. My father was laid out so nicely in his coffin. He actually looked better than he did prior to his passing. The grandchildren all served as pallbearers helping to move the coffin. We processed together to the burial site. We couldn't have asked for a better service, and many of our friends commented how smoothly everything went. Thank you Jay, Will, and Art for your love and care during this most difficult season of our lives. I would highly recommend Sperling Funeral Home, a place where they all treat you like FAMILY.

I can not say enough good things about my experience with Jay, Sperling Funeral home. Recently lost my father. Had no idea what funeral home, where i was going to call, or what to do next. Without speaking with anyone, i had to make a choice. I told the nurse that id like him to be sent to sperlings funeral home. Got the call the next day that they had picked my dad up the night before and he was in their care. Jay got me in immediately and went through everything, step by step as to what was going to happen. Walked me through the process. Was extremely personable(which at this moment) ment more to me than anything. When id have a question, he was just a text away. Always responding, always will to help and answer any questions i had or had forgotten. From the cremation, to the memorial service at the cemetary, Jay took care of it all. I couldnt of asked for anything more. I can not thank you enough for everything.
