We went so that my daughter could get her first haircut, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. The stylist walked her through the process and was gentle and kind throughout. In addition to the cut, my daughter got to choose how she wanted it styled and got her nails painted. At the end, we received a certificate, a picture, a lock of her hair, a balloon, and a lollipop.I would 100% recommend this place to anyone. My daughter is already looking forward to her next cut.UPDATE 10/11/26Brought in child #2 for their first haircut. After years of watching big sister get her hair cut, little finally got their turn. Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids in Round Rock was truly our last hope, and I cannot recommend them enough!My son absolutely hates having anyone touch his hair. Every haircut we’ve tried elsewhere has been a complete nightmare—kicking, screaming, fighting, and sometimes it was hit or miss whether we could even get a complete haircut. We’ve taken him to some of the best people we know, and even my husband has tried cutting his hair himself multiple times.We tried everything to make haircuts easier—letting him watch his favorite shows, unlimited lollipops 😂, distractions, you name it. Hardly anything worked. I had honestly gotten to the point where I felt like my son was becoming traumatized every time it was time for another haircut, and I dreaded putting him through it again.My cousin recommended Sharkey’s after having similar struggles getting his own son’s hair cut. He warned me that it was on the pricier side, but told me it was completely worth it—and boy, was he right!From the moment we walked in, my son could sense the energy and that this place was made for him. The entire staff was so warm and welcoming. He saw all of his favorite types of cars that he could choose from, picked one, climbed right in, and buckled himself up. No screaming. No fighting. I almost couldn’t believe what I was watching!Our stylist, Yuliana, was AMAZING. She knew exactly how to handle him. She was incredibly skilled, patient, and gentle while still giving him a great haircut. Not one scream, not one tear, not one fight! By the end, they probably thought I had made up all my stories about how difficult haircuts normally are for him. 😂I honestly feel so grateful that we found Sharkey’s. Knowing we now have a place where my son can get a peaceful, fun, and amazing haircut instead of something stressful for everyone is priceless to us. And the biggest surprise of all? My 4 yr old son had a lovely haircut with Gabby at Sharkey’s Round Rock! We arrived when they opened at noon (without an appointment), and got right in.Gabby did a great job and my son loved getting to sit in a police car while watching Paw Patrol during his haircut.
