Started training Krav Maga with Sid about 4 weeks ago and have enjoyed every session. He has a straightforward teaching style and from the off he gives you easy and effective moves to enable you to protect yourself. The club itself has a nice group of people with no egos, just like minded people coming together to learn. So if your thinking of doing something come along and give it a go.

Having trained in martial arts previously ( many years ago) I was considering going back but at 68 I thought I’m too old to be roundhouse kicking or being thrown about like a rag doll. I saw the advert on facebook and made an enquiry. Sid called and I liked his attitude. I have been going 2 months now fitness is improving and getting more confident. It’s a great class that is taught with the right amount of humour. The “stress test” at the end of each class is an eye opener and helps you realise that you can use the techniques taught in a real situation. I would recommend this class to anyone. Come down have a look and give it a go. Nothing ventured nothing gained.. it may be one of the best decisions you ever make.

I'd been um-ing and ah-ing for years about joining up to a martial arts/self defence class from years. Saw the ad on Facebook and put in my details for a free trial session. Sid contacted me pretty quickly to see if the class would be suitable for me (previous injuries, reasons, goals etc) but didn't come in all guns blazing with the hard sell, limited time offer etc. I've worked in sales and you can spot the pitch a mile off. Sid is very approachable, flexible with the session depending on what people want to learn and very patient. I'm so glad I submitted that initial form for the trial session and have joined up fully now. Every session is well delivered, stripped back to basics, and a great laugh too. I cannot recommend or praise Sid and his team enough!

I have been training with Sid for the past 6 weeks twice a week and have enjoyed every training session. He is an amazingly skilled and knowledgeable instructor who teaches every technique step by step and you honestly walk away from each session with a new skill . I have trained at other clubs over the years but Sid teaches you skills and control that you can use effectively for self defence in the street today. You will be welcomed at the club by him and all the members and I would recommend anyone interested to come along and join in .

I was always very curious about Krav Maga, and with Sid, it is super catchy. The training is great and he is a fantastic coach. I recommend you just come and try it, and then, you will be part of the team! Osss!

Alpha Krav Maga is a great place to learn good self defence, and techniques that can be applied to real life situations. Sid is a good instructor and I would definitely recommend Alpha.

I was looking to join a martial arts(bjj, tkd) club at first, but then decided to go self defence path. And I'm glad I did =). Sid is extremely knowledgeable and experienced instructor. I like his practical and relaxed approach and the fact that he explains weak/strong/pressure points, angles, leverage, biomechanics etc. It helps a lot in understanding the impact of different movements. Focus on realistic scenarios, injury prevention and your body reaction to stressful situations(a portion of session is dedicated to stress training) is what I was looking for and Sid delivered this and much more. The atmosphere is very friendly and forgiving for someone completely new to martial arts/self defence. Honestly I cannot recommend Sid enough!
