I had taken my boat in for a repair. It wasn't repaired properly the first time. I reached out to Randy. He arranged to pick it up as I didn't have a trailer and kept it in a wet slip on Base. They took it in and did almost $4000 more of work at no expense to myself. I can't tell you how GRATEFUL I am to them. The President-Dan dealt with me first hand. I HIGHLY recommend BGS for repairs.

Being from out of state I was a little worried about buying a boat that I had not personally seen and sending money to someone I never met had me a little concerned. Everything went very smoothly , cut the deal on Thursday and Dan delivered my new boat 850 miles away, behind a hurricane on Sunday. This is a great business. Had numerous dealing with them and they always came through. Owned multiple boats and visited multiple shops. Always serviced my boats with an open wallet. Unfortunatelly, an open wallet will not mean a quality job, even when is done by reputable shops that used to be great in the past. Businesses established by hard work of parents and run in the ground by their kids or people that want to take your money on a "one and done" deal and move on. Short lived relationships that never work out. At MSC Fishing Charters we see these guys as our partners, not so much as our repair shop. The owners are very knowledgeable and present in the business and that shows. The work gets done and gets done right from the first time. Dont expect the cheap prices done by some guy that works out from his backyard, but they are resonable priced than subpar competition that does less form more. You should take your boat there. This is a review we wrote after more than a dozen trips over a year relationship.Good job!

I bought my boat from BGS 2 years ago and have had nothing but positive experiences since. They have gone above and beyond every step of the way to make boating as hassle free as it can be. It’s a reality that boats need maintenance, and despite the best maintenance plans they still break often. BGS has always gotten to the root of the problem and fixed it at a reasonable price faster than any shop I have ever dealt with. Several times they have gone out of their way to make the experience easier, or just downright better. This includes picking up and dropping off the boat at my house, retrieving it from the marina when my truck was in the shop, and just always making things right. Here is an example. The backrest on my leaning post had worked itself loose. It was an annoyance, but not one that I mentioned when I put my boat in for its annual service. When I got the boat back, the backrest was solid as a rock, secured by 4 new stainless-steel screws; it will never be loose again. It wasn’t mentioned when I picked the boat up and it wasn’t on my invoice. The mechanic just saw it, knew it wasn’t right, and fixed it better than new. My most recent experience was when the boat had a major problem that was not the fault of the manufacturer of the boat or BGS. The owner of Ken Craft (the boat builder) immediately stepped up, and even though the boat was well out of its factory warranty period, worked with BGS to fix this issue at no cost to me. There are a lot of boat builders and a lot of dealers that would have turned their back on the customer when faced with a major repair such as this, but both companies worked together to make the problem go away. This review is overdue, but I am writing it after 2 solid years of excellent customer service. I have even seen this company come out of pocket to replace decking on the boat when the manufacturer of the decking reneged on a valid warranty claim (they no longer use that vendor). I can’t speak highly enough of the entire crew at BGS and will always recommend them to friends.
