The inspection/consultation was easy, the rep showed up on time, was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. He gave us our options and helped us understand what we should do for our entire yard, but we wanted to keep costs down and just handle the tree that was dangerous. We also wanted to leave the trunk at ten feet so our boys could hook up a cable for a zip line (lol, I know, but it was a pretty easy request). We also wanted them to leave all the boughs that were over 10" in diameter cut into 24" lengths for us to use for our fireplace. The Southern Tree Pros team was all good with everything.On the big day, they showed up on time with a BIG team. Lots of safety equipment and a huge chipper with dump truck. They took the whole thing down (95 foot tall tree, btw) and got rid of everything we didn't want. They had to remove and replace a section of our wooden fence (you could not tell they did it) and they got going. They had a foreman that kept everything on track and it was quicker than I thought and very cool to watch. They were professional and worked all day to get it done. It was done right, it was as clean as anyone could do it and we are very happy with the outcome. The boys had to stack the wood, which we dried and we are burning it this winter, and now they have their zipline. Good work costs money, but the value was there. They did exactly what they said would be done and there was no BS, nothing got weird. They were prepared, equipped and professional. They got it done and we are happy. I will call them next time and I always give out their name if anyone asks for a referral or if I hear someone talking about needing a tree service. Thanks Southern Tree Pros! Less
