Kira has been working on my back since December of last year and I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing she is. I went in for a consultation with her with a vague idea of what I wanted but no real concept of exactly how it would come together. I wanted a unicorn which was sort of a representation of my kids and then after that I said do what you want! I guess I should also mention the daunting task of covering up about 28 stars in an S pattern from my thigh to my shoulder blade. Kira’s intuition in picking something is otherworldly. Obviously you’re going to get an amazing tattoo one way or another because she’s an absolutely incredible artist but she far surpassed my expectations with the work she’s done so far. I didn’t know what I wanted but after she did it it made sense to me as if she knew me personally. What prompted me finally deciding to do this tattoo was that my father who I took care of for 7 years committed suicide, I didn’t want to wait and put it off thinking there would be a better time anymore. We sat and chatted and immediately got along (she’s genuinely a great human) and decided to set a date because she was about 6 months out. I had already made up my mind that she was my artist but then her very first availability was my dads birthday and I knew I was supposed to be there. It’s funny to me because I’ve always been one of those people who admired tattoos and thought they were beautiful but mine didn’t carry a lot of significance. Kira managed to give my tattoo a life of it’s own and an importance that I couldn’t have created had I not given her the freedom to decide what was being done. I didn’t put it together initially but I have found that she picked the most perfect representation of aspects of my life and self that I am blown away. I know there are people who are skeptical about intuition, that we find meaning and proof where we seek it but she has it! Her work is art but it’s also therapy. It helped me in a very unexpected way because, if I’m honest I just wanted her gorgeous work. Thanks so much for your compassion and commitment to making sure I had more than I asked for in many ways!

I’ve known Mason Atlas since his apprentice days and to say that he has grown into a phenomenal artist, well rounded businessman, and a substantial human is probably an understatement.I believe an artists work well reflects what lives within them... and well, look for yourself !!!
