He wasn’t the lowest, his estimate was actually a couple of thousand dollars more than the least expensive option, but he was clearly knowledgeable and inspired confidence, which ultimately led us to hire him.One of the main reasons we chose Matt was his reliability. He was the only painter who arrived on time to provide the quote, and because we were working under a tight deadline, it was important for us to hire someone who could keep their word about the start and completion dates. We purchased our own paint based on his guidance and recommendations, and his team began work just a few days later. The results were turning out so beautifully that we decided to expand the scope of work.Towards the end of the project, there was a bit of confusion regarding pricing for the additional work, but Matt honored the original amounts he had quoted. We really appreciated that transparency.The job was completed ahead of schedule, and the transformation of the home was remarkable. I can’t say enough good things about M&C Painting. They are fabulous. My house was built in 1864 and is 3 stories high with 43 ornate windows, and it needed a lot of work. Matt the owner was honest and transparent about both product and pricing. At one decision point, he actually steered me away from spending money.Silvio, Raphael and Victor spent almost 2 weeks at my house, and they completely transformed it. They worked from 7 am to 7 pm. They were meticulous at all stages of prepping, priming and painting. Each day they left my house and yard cleaner than it had been when they arrived in the morning. They are skilled craftsmen who take pride in their work. They answered all of my questions patiently and apologized when I got in their way. I really appreciated this attention to detail, and could tell that’s how Matt goes about a project as soon as he started surveying our house. Matt allowed us to make a strategic decision as a homeowners while working in our budget. That was a massive difference in experience from other companies, who seem to just text a bottom line price from looking at a Google Earth picture. Matt checked every part of the exterior and asked me about parts I hadn’t thought of.From there, it was a breeze. Matt was very responsive and helpful through scheduling and selecting colors. Matt’s crew showed up on time, did excellent work, and left very little mess for what was a fairly messy job. They really went above and beyond, just as Matt assured.
