They genuinely go above and beyond. They coach with integrity, professionalism and a real commitment to helping every person become better. They don’t just throw a workout at you — they teach you how to move, how to train safely and how to keep progressing.You absolutely do not have to be the fittest person in the room to belong here. There is always a scale or modification available, and the coaches meet you where you are while still encouraging you to challenge yourself. The community is incredible — welcoming, supportive and completely non-judgemental.Over the past four years, I’ve learned that progress isn’t about being perfect. It’s about consistently showing up, getting a little stronger, learning from the coaches and trusting the process. Having coaches who genuinely want to see you succeed makes an enormous difference.And for me, it’s no longer about training just to look a certain way. I’m training for my future.I’m in my 40s now, and I want to be strong, capable and fit for life. I want to be able to keep doing the things I love, stay independent and give my future self the best possible chance of living a strong and healthy life.These coaches have shown me how to do that.Four years ago, I never imagined I could be the athlete — or the person — I am today. I’m stronger, more confident and more capable than I ever thought possible, and a huge part of that comes down to this community and the coaches who continue to believe in me.If you’re thinking about starting CrossFit but feel like you’re not fit enough, strong enough or experienced enough — start anyway. Been a member of CFIL for 3 months and absolutely loving it. The coaches are knowledgeable and supportive, the programming is excellent, and the community is welcoming and friendly. Great gym with a great atmosphere — highly recommend it to anyone keen to give CrossFit a crack!😊🏋️‍♀️🙌🏾

I can’t recommend CrossFit Iron Lion highly enough.I’ve been training at CrossFit Iron Lion since February this year, and the progress I’ve made in that time has exceeded my expectations. Not only have I become stronger and fitter, but I’ve also made some genuinely great friendships along the way. The sense of community is something really special, and it’s one of the reasons I look forward to coming to the gym each week.The coaches are all incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping everyone become the best version of themselves. No matter your fitness level or experience, you’re made to feel welcome from the moment you walk through the doors.Recently, the gym held an in-house competition that pushed me well outside my comfort zone. I was so close to not showing up because I was exhausted from work and incredibly nervous, but I’m so glad I did. The support and encouragement from the coaches and everyone at the gym gave me the confidence to give it a go, and it’s made me excited to keep stepping outside my comfort zone and enter more competitions in the future.What really sets CrossFit Iron Lion apart is the culture. Everyone genuinely wants to see each other succeed, and every achievement, big or small, is celebrated. A life changing experience!After deciding I had been prioritising everything else in my life over my health for too long I finally commited to a new years resolution. To try this thing I didn't know much about but have been interested in for so long and kept putting off.I had never done Crossfit or anything like it and so much of it was very new to me but everyone got around me and made sure I had all the support I needed.Luke, Blair and Jill are the most caring and inspirational coaches you will come across they are amazing teachers and have made the transition for me really enjoyable. Thanks to them I am absolutely hooked!7 months in:- I have put on lots of muscle so I am feeling stronger and more confident in myself- I am eating and sleeping much better- I have learnt so many new skills that I am enjoying improving on everyday (the more you do the more it pulls you in!).- and I have met and made friendships with so many amazing people who are just so much fun, that I look forward to training with every session.It's such a privilege to be a part of the Iron Lion community! I wish I did it sooner!

I've been a member at CrossFit Iron Lion for 12 years, and joining has been one of the best decisions I've ever made.I signed up when they were running a 12-week challenge. I was 46 years old, at my heaviest, and knew absolutely nothing about CrossFit. I was simply ready to try something different—and it changed my life. During that 12-week challenge, I lost 15 kg.Twelve years later, I'm still here, and I still think this place is amazing. The coaches are incredibly understanding, genuinely care about every member, and always support you, no matter where you're at in your fitness journey. The community is fantastic, and I've met some of my closest friends here—people I now spend time with outside the gym as well.Now, as I'm approaching 58, I still love the workouts and the variety of movements. One of the things I appreciate most is that every workout can be modified to suit how you're feeling on the day, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone.I can't recommend CrossFit Iron Lion highly enough!

I recently jumped onboard with the 5am crew and have really enjoyed how welcoming the community has been.The programming and coaching is awesome and these guys push quality of movement which is brilliant to see.
