I started going to Rx Rehab to work on my shoulders that had been bothering me for quite a number of years. I had tried other PT offices and had miserable experiences... I tried RX Rehab because, from the beginning, Scott cared. He was curious, he measured and checked and tested, and then his staff got involved and were just as curious and invested in finding a solution for me. On top of the how involved Scott and his staff were they also really work on you. They scraped me, did deep tissue work, dry needling, and left me with all sorts of bruises from how they handled me. It was the first time I felt like something was actually being done during a PT appointment!! On top of this the movements they had me working with were functional and evolved with my progress. A big shout out to Jared as well who worked on me regularly!! By the end of my 8 weeks of therapy I could return weight behind my head with no pain, I could bench press without pain, I had substantial strength return to all ranges of motion and had a plan in place for continuing to increase my shoulder's resiliency after finishing care. They didn't keep me coming back just because, they knew that we had done what we needed and we wrapped it up. I recommend Rx Rehab any chance I get. I can't thank them enough for giving me my shoulders back and truly caring about me and getting me well. I'm able to compete in Olympic Lifting and CrossFit in a whole new way now!! Less

Everyone on the team was consistently friendly, kind and attentive. I was always greeted by my given name and received the full attention of each assigned therapist. Communication: Therapists listened attentively when I had a question or shared my concerns. They explained every procedure, exercise, why we were doing it, and the expected results. Knowledgeable: Every therapist was so knowledgeable that I had complete trust in every one of them. After each session, I felt improvement. I was impressed by the many healing protocols that were offered, such as “Dry Needling”. (Thanks Scott) Organization: There was never a time that I felt like they were not on top of things, ranging from the front desk protocol, appointment reminders, charting all procedures into a data base, to providing many healing options and skills. Unfortunately the issue and reason I cannot rate higher or recommend is because from the start I was worried about the cost accompanied with physical therapy as this was my first time. Since both my parents had gone there, and it is the same insurance, they told me it would likely be at no cost the first trip and would have to verify with the insurance. So that first session I made a small payment of around $15-30 dollars, and was told it could be refunded assuming the insurance would cover the sessions like expected. That was close to 6 months ago now, and just now am receiving a rather large bill, over $300, for their services. Now I'm all for paying for the service I get and don't like to cheat anyone, however they said the insurance would cover everything, and that is the main reason it made it to a second session and beyond. Their billing department doesn't even answer the phone to discuss the issue. The receptionist can tell me what they have done with the insurance and that's it. Update to the story, got a call from Dr. Scott, and he helped clear it up with me. Due to them telling me it was at no cost, and their billing company saying I owe, they just waived my account balance and made it right. I strongly recommend going here! Before I went here I had a hard time keeping my arms over my head for more than 10 minutes. In a few months they were able to make me able to keep my hands over my head for more than an hour at work. At 74 I wasn’t looking forward to having surgery on my shoulder and partially detached Popeyed Bicep. Assured after a careful examination and evaluation of my treatable condition, I began a series of visits with special exercises and treatments, some of which were very technological and new to me. Unlike previous physical therapy I’d had in the past, all exercises and treatments were monitored during the course of time and my strength gradually increased as more and different treatments were added to strengthen specific muscles to help me feel less discomfort and more mobility. Bottom line I feel much better and younger than I’ve felt in years and BOTH shoulders are now working great and pain free! This was all accomplished during this crazy time of the Covid Pandemic with attention to following CDC guidelines. Until I got a Facebook notice of a free shoulder workshop at RX Rehab in Highland, I went to the class and set up a follow up. At my first appointment I was very impressed, they literally bent me back into shape and set up a plan with stretches and exercises I could do on my own. At each appointment my motion was tested and I had more mobility and less pain. They did things the other therapist did not offer or try like dry needling and pulling my arm and shoulder back into position. Within a couple of months I was almost back to 100%. I am very happy with the results and getting a better quality of life. Less

He took the foundation that I had and elevated it to the next level. Working alongside Scott my healing and strength increased leaps and bounds, he helped me return to running, my weight training increased exponentially. I was able to schedule my appointments when I wanted them and received useful reminders for each one. I was seen promptly at each appointment. I saw both Scott Christensen, PA, and Erin Jacobi, PTA. The physical therapy I received at each appointment was perfect. I had frozen shoulder setting in big time on my shoulder that I previously had had capsule release surgery and intense physical therapy for for adhesive capabilities about a decade earlier. I had a thorough biomechanics last evaluation Andy customized treatment plan. It included extensive patient education, hands on techniques to relax the muscles and recover mobility, stretching for tight muscles, strengthening of weak muscles, mbiilization of stiff joints, laser treatments. Due caution was used tic ensure no further harm resulted, which in other physical therapy practices has definitely not always been the case. The bottom line was that they were able to get my shoulder to settle back down so that the pain subsided and the mobility returned. I was able to avoid more visits to my orthopedic surgeon for x-rays, MRI’s, prescriptions, steroid shots, and/or surgery. That’s was my goal given other medical issues concurrently a time play. Less

I had a great experience at RX Rehab. I had lived with a painful shoulder for several years and went hoping that something would ease the pain. After the first or second treatment that pain was relieved and I haven't been plagued by it again. I really appreciated how he works right with you, you are never left alone. He makes sure you are doing everything correctly. I love his assistant Erin. She is not only beautiful but really knows her stuff. She is fun to work with.... but she does make you work. Which is really why we go...right? I went in the afternoons so I worked with Melissa at the front desk, and she is just amazing. After my second knee replacement surgery I went back to this great office. I loved it, it was great! I had a lot of issues with my right leg due to poor mechanics and after a couple of months of working with Scott my knee pain is completely gone! As Scott Christensen was starting out his PT Clinic he knew that I had a problem with my knee. However, I told him my real problem was with my left shoulder. I had soreness in my shoulder for a couple of years, particularly when I lifted my arm. He did an examination and determined that there was an impingement problem in my shoulder and thought I should have 2 sessions per week for about 8 weeks. He started me out with some mild lifting exercises with 5 lb weights and he stretched and manipulated my shoulder in each session and used the laser on my shoulder. The sessions were 45 minutes to 1 hour. My shoulder gradually loosened up and as I was able he added some more exercises to strengthen the shoulder. I could tell that the shoulder was gradually improving as the exercises became easier to do and the pain significantly reduced and eventually disappeared. He pronounced me done after 10 of the 16 sessions and I now continue some strengthening exercises to maintain and increase the strength in my shoulder. I am 69 and have been a jogger for many years. I had been resigned to seeing my body deteriorate and was ready to live with the aches and pains of older age but I found with Scott that I could actually reverse some of these old age complaints and get back some of my strength and fitness.
