We have been using Home Roots Lawn & Landscape for several years now in San Marcos TX, mostly for lawn care, but also on one occasion for landscaping. We've been very pleased with the service and are happy to support a local business. Today the team collected many bags of tiny leaves from the property and did a great job. Recommend.

Heather and the Grass Roots team were absolutely fantastic in all aspects of their business. From efficient, receptive communication to the hardworking labor of spreading over 10 yards of garden mulch the whole service was superb!! I canceled my service with Home Roots Lawn & Landscape because of how they handled a clearly documented issue. My security camera showed their employee using a weed eater directly around my Spectrum cable, and after I sent them the video, they still refused to acknowledge the possibility that their work caused the damage and instead kept looking for excuses.I had used Home Roots several times before without any issue, and the Spectrum cable had been in the same location during those previous services. After the most recent visit, the line was damaged.I sent the security footage to the company so they could review what happened. Rather than seriously addressing what the video showed, they questioned why the cable was there, why it was not placed higher, and even argued that a Spectrum cable was too thick to be damaged by a weed eater.The cable being visible before the work started does not explain why it was damaged afterward. It had been there during multiple previous services without a problem.The damage itself was frustrating, but the bigger issue was the response afterward. When a customer provides clear video evidence of a legitimate concern, I expect accountability and a professional investigation, not repeated excuses and blame directed back at the customer. That is why I canceled my service.

Totally ridiculous. Crew worked 1hour and 15 minutes and I was charged $991.00. The only other people that make approximately $1000.00 an hour are a few cardiologist and a few extremely skilled lawyers. Mt God, all these people do is dig in the dirt!
