As someone who loves trying local restaurants, I can honestly say White Wine & Butter may be the best restaurant in the Upstate.My wife and I had dinner there recently, and every single thing we ordered was outstanding. Kenny, who was both our server and bartender, was fantastic—attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to talk with.I ordered the burger and fries, and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and the fries were seasoned to perfection. My wife ordered the OG WWB pasta with shrimp, and wow… absolutely incredible. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the dish was rich, balanced, and worth coming back for all by itself.We also started with the Brussels sprouts appetizer, which was ridiculously good. If you’re even considering ordering them, do it.What really impressed me was that there wasn’t a weak spot in the entire meal. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. In a region with a lot of excellent restaurants, White Wine & Butter somehow still manages to stand out.We’ll definitely be back, and if you haven’t been yet, put it at the top of your list.

Food presentation was lovely. Bread and butters were excellent. The duck tacos as a small plate were sooo good, definitely recommend if you like quesabirria style food. I got the fried chicken and accoutrements and liked it okay. Greens were too spicy for my tastes but had a lot of flavor. My friend got the filet and said it was perfect. It was my birthday so our waitstaff brought out a mini beignets-like bonus!My cocktail was zero proof and they had three of those on the menu, all of which sounded good.Environment was on the quieter side which was conducive to conversation without feeling like someone at the next table was overhearing. I did not hear anyone else's conversations. No loud kichen noise or music. Overall very comfortable...and chairs accommodate larger individuals without pinching (no sides/arms on them).

This was actually our third time dining with White Wine and Butter. This time however it has changed drastically.The service was extremely slow. We asked for parmesian cheese to top our pasta, and never received it. This was likely due to the in-house music which was so loud we couldn't converse at our table.A gentleman come to our table and introduced himself as the restaurant manager. He asked if he could get us anything. A glass of wine was ordered. Thirty minutes later we asked the same gentleman about the glass of wine. We told him we had been waiting at least 20 minutes. He stated he wasn't there 20 minutes ago? He's the one that took the order.The music was ridiculously loud for such a small venue. We asked if it could possibly be turned down but the request was ignored.Very disappointing dining experience and at a $145.00 for two we didn't receive what we paid for tonight.We did receive a gift card for another visit, however it won't be redeemed.Very disappointed.

This was our first time and we Will be back! The food and drinks were great! The bartender and staff were fabulous, making suggestions and answering questions! They have many Gluten Free options, so this is a must try for Celiac friends!

Jenny our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. The flavors were well developed. I enjoyed my eggs with oysters the hot sauce provided a little kick. The personal caesar was large enough it could have been an entree itself. Spring rolls were sweet and savory. the of white wine & butter pasta was rich and filling. My friend ordered the sweet tea chicken and it looked amazing. She was quiet and the chicken was disappearing so I am confident it was a winner. I absolutely will come back next time I'm in the area.

We really wanted to love this place, especially since they were amazing when they first opened at Cartwright Food Hall. Sadly, after being there for 2+ hours, we found both the food and service underwhelming. We were the second table seated for dinner but that certainly did not mean quick or attentive service. It took close to an hour for our food to arrive after ordering, again with only one other table with customers ahead of us. Admittedly, the fried chicken does take longer to prepare than most items, but an hour??During our wait the waitress did not return to check on us, ask if we needed anything, or give us update on the status of our meal. Once the food arrived, the chicken was over-fried and mostly breading.The pasta was undercooked and cold in some bites. After eating what was edible we decided to pass on dessert since we did not want to invest another hour of waiting. We waited another 20 minutes for our check, but since the waitress was nowhere to be found we had to flag another waitress down for help. The manager did check in with us when we first arrived and asked how things were so far. At that point all we had was water so there was no feedback to give. We were hoping to see the manager again to give feedback, but again, we did not want to wait any longer.

My Husband and I celebrated our 5yr Anniversary here at WW&B! Honestly the experience was great.We arrived a little after 4pm (walk-in), and were seated within a few minutes.Our server was a delight, very sweet and attentive.We ordered the Duck Al Pastor Tacos as a starter. Flavor was definitely on point. Unfortunately, we had to send them back because we found a hair. Our server was very apologetic, and kindly removed it from our bill. No big deal, sometimes these things happen.For entrees we heavily enjoyed the Oxtail Lasagna, as well as the famous Front Porch Chicken with a side of collard greens and delicious macaroni. These dishes were absolutely delicious! 10/10 would recommend!For dessert we chose the Beignets. Very disappointing for my first time ever trying them. We didn’t enjoy the chocolate or caramel dips that were served with them either. The proportions were not consistent at all, and the taste was pretty bland.Although we had a couple hiccups, it didn’t ruin our overall experience. We can see ourselves dining here again.

White Wine and Butter's food and the experience that they provide both completely exceed expectations. It's like this little hidden gem that happens to have a renowned chef. What I found telling was listening to the staff talk about how genuinely proud they are of this establishment and what it brings to the area. Looking forward to future visits!

Not at all impressed, especially after all of the online hype. If you live in Greenville (especially on the south side), save your gas money, restaurant money, and time. We shared the brussel sprouts (they were adequate, at best), duck tacos (they were ok), fried chicken (you can get better fried chicken at Publix), and the filet (ordered it medium, and it was closer to medium-well/well, tough, and lacked flavor). The pasta in the mac-n-cheese that came with the chicken was overcooked, and this side dish lacked flavor overall. The room was deafeningly loud (some simple acoustic tiles on the walls/ceiling would easily solve this), and the service was slow. My first drink was a Prosecco-based drink, and the Prosecco had not been chilled at all. I ordered a glass of red wine before the steak was served, and I saw the glass sitting at the bar for about 15 minutes. We were almost finished with the steak, so I finally went over to the bar and asked the bartender if that was my glass of Malbec sitting there. He was very rude and told me our server would bring it over. There are FAR better restaurants in Greenville, so we will not need to go back, especially based on what you get for the price point.
