When I called to confirm a actual oil change was done I was told "just reset your light" to which I had and it came back on, then I was told "there must be an error your car hasn't resigisterd the oil change we'll have to manually reset it" to which I replied that I've recieved an oil change before the indacator light came on and its never been a problem. I finally took my car in for them to "correct" whatever the issue is and I was told my car had NO OIL and they said you car must be leaking oil, I'm no idiot I know when a car is leaking and mine infact was not! I was then told that they would do me a COURTESTY and put more oil in it. The NERVE, Yalll clearly changed the oil and NEVER put any in. The main job of the oil change replacing the oil. To be told it was a COURTESTY after I already paid for the missing oil was a slap in the face. It has now been a month since I visually wateched and recorded them put oil in and guess what ...NO ISSUES! My light has never came back on. Less

If I absolutely needed a tire replacement, they told me if would cost a little under 200. Both options were a hell of a lot cheaper, so might as well try. When I arrived, it was a very short wait to be helped. Everything was very clear and I was confident my car was in good hands. Don's found that the hole was actually a plug that had come loose, which my dealership didn't even know. They removed the plug and filled it in and I'm told their patch should last the lifespan of the car. Absolutely Fantastic. After my car was serviced, I left and, while on the freeway, my tire pressure light came back on. I called Don's again asking what happened, they said they'll take a look and they were sorry for the inconvenience. I pulled back in and immediately was helped. My tires were checked again and it turned out my car just needed recalibration. Shout out to Austin for making me laugh after such a long day <3 Anyway, greatest people ever. Beware!!! I came here to check on my suspension because I was going on a road trip to Tahoe. Instead I was pushed by the receptionist to get an alignment. I didn't really need one but I decided to install wobble bolts that bought a while ago. But my main reason was to check my suspension since my car was making funny clicking noises between the speeds of 20-30mph. Any mechanic would notice that I have leaking around my CV boots and tell me that I might want to check my drive train especially since I take this vehicle off-roading. I ended up getting a second opinion from another mechanic in Sacramento and he suggested that I change the axle. I got one more opinion from my mechanic in Truckee and he said the same thing and we actually changed it. So unfortunately, after you change the driveline you need to get an alignment again. They already charged me $300+ for the alignment which I didn't need. I really needed a new front axle. So I called them on Tuesday and I explained the situation and they said they would give an alignment over the phone. I arrive today and they totally said that I had to pay for an alignment because I got the front axle installed somewhere else. I wasn't trying to get a free alignment. I was an unhappy customer because my car was unsafe to drive and they didn't help me with my concerns. Instead they just offered the same service they give to everyone. So take note: only go here for basic alignment needs. They can't handle anything else. I told them straight up that I was an unhappy customer and they didn't do anything to resolve that issue. I think they have great mechanics, but their management and customer service needs work! Please go else where if you're looking for good customer service and more custom work. I will not be back! My wheels were not perfect, but they were in pretty good shape with only two small spots of curb rash from before I bought them.When I went back to complain, and ask them to repair my wheels they had damaged, I got confronted by both the only man behind the counter and a technician that it must be from curb rash and that there's no way they did that... Which is a straight lie. I wash and detail my car every two weeks and those scratches were not there. Also, I'm an ase certified mechanic with tire machine experience (didn't have access to one though at that time) and the scratch on all 4 wheels is 100 percent from the head that comes down to pull the tire over the lip of the wheel. Curb rash creates half moons all over the wheel from it rotating past a stationary object. It doesn't cause a single scratch the whole circumference of the wheel.When positioning the head, you bring it down to the wheel and then back it off a tiny bit so that this exact thing doesn't happen. We argued for a while and they refused to fix their mistake, only offering to buff the wheel. Plot twist, buffing did nothing to no one's surprise as the scratch was deep into the paint.So now here I am with ugly scratches on all 4 wheels that I will have to likely spend $800 dollars to fix...which is what I paid for the tires already so I'm pretty salty about the whole ordeal Less

I brought 4 used trailer tires for my boat trailer. They were 2 different brands. I tire blow out with in a couple of weeks. 2 or 3 trips to the delta from the Bay Area. About 200 miles or less. They did give me credit for the one tire but they wouldn’t take them all back. I brought 4 new tires. I got what I paid for I guess. Less

Our cars were vandalized along with 15 others in the neighborhood. Each car had all four tires slashed on the side walls.Don's set up the replacement tires, and made arrangements for one of their mechanics to come out and assist me in getting all the tires replaced without having to tow any of them.THIS IS WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND TYPICAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!I also manage a local construction company and have moved all of our vehicle maintenance to Dons Tires as it is not just a tire shop. Our shop has been using Don’s tires for almost 25 years and I’m afraid the relationship may come to an end regretfully. I recently came in to buy a set of tires for my car and my wife’s car. The interaction with the front office was great . After I got my tires I noticed a couple of days before my cross country trip that at 75 miles an hour I was getting a high speed shimmy so I brought it back into have the tires re-balanced. Upon leaving I was informed by the service manager that yes the tires were out of balance but OK now. I do realize that sometimes things happen and after a second try they should be ironed out. Three days later when I left for my cross country trip and I was on interstate five where the speed limit is 85 mph that the tires were still out of balance And that my trip was a horror story all the way to Sedona Arizona 1000 miles later where I took it in and found out that not only were the tires a little out of balance but two of them were 1 1/2 ounce out and the other two were almost as bad . Our shop is considering sending our tire work elsewhere because of several other instances over the past year and complaints from our own customers. Less
