Ashley at Sharkey's Hair Salon in Lexington was fantastic! My 4-year-old wanted a mohawk, but because the back was still a little short from a previous haircut, she suggested a bird fade instead, and it turned out awesome. She was so patient, great with my son, and made the whole experience easy and fun. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend Ashley!

Leslie is amazing with my son! He has been going to her since he was a year and a half for his first hair cut. From then on it was a match! My son is now 4 and he had a chance to go to a barber but saw d no I want to stay with my girl 😍 If you have any age kids go check her out!

Chloe has been cutting my grandsons hair for about 7 years (he's now 16) and he won't let anyone else deal with his hair. It's very curly and she knows exactly what he wants. He trusts her completely. She's very knowledgeable and interacts wonderfully with kids of all ages. Chloe rates an A+!

This is our second time booking Leslie, and she’s amazing. Our first time she worked a miracle on my son’s hair after I cut it at home, leaving him very little to work with (I really botched it). Not only is she a great stylist, she’s great with kids. Even with my son being super shy she’s able to get him to talk to her, and he can’t wait to come back!

We usually go to snip-it’s and we decided to come last minute to Sharkey’s. And we will be coming back to Sharkey’s from now on! They let me come in last minute, pricing was the same as snip it’s but the experience was much better! The hairstylist asked what show my child liked to watch (screen in front of them so they sit still) and he got to pick a cool car out to sit in. Both my kids got a sticker, balloon, and lollipop. They were so nice and attentive!

She made me feel so much more at ease.Chloe was amazing. She was so patient, gentle, and reassuring, and she took the time to ask questions instead of rushing through everything. I never felt like just another appointment.Jennifer wasn’t even working that day, but she happened to be there and jumped in to help anyway. That really says a lot about the people here.Everyone was so kind and caring. I’m so thankful for the way they treated my family, and we’ll definitely be back.

We had an amazing experience at Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids in Lexington today! It was our son JD’s very first trip to a barber shop, and Leslie made it such a fun and memorable experience. She was so patient, gentle, and great with him. She truly knows how to make kids feel comfortable. Leslie is the best!The salon is so colorful and child-friendly. We loved that the kids get to sit in fun toy cars while getting their haircut—it made the whole experience exciting instead of scary.Jennifer also did our daughter Mary’s pedicure, and she absolutely loved it! She even received a beautiful little diamond ring afterward, which made her feel so special.One of our favorite parts was that JD received a Certificate of First Haircut with a lock of his hair to keep as a forever keepsake. Such a thoughtful touch!For the price, you get so much more than just a haircut—you get a fun experience and lasting memories. We highly recommend Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids in Lexington. Chloe is tbe absolute best with my little guy (2 1/2) She is so patient and reassuring. I tried one of their competitors 1 time and left with half a haircut, because my toddler was not having it. Needless to say, we have been with Chloe every 4-6 weeks since then and have zero problems getting him to tolerate an entire haircut, including clippers. In the intrest of fairness, Sharkys is a little pricey ($32 boy cut plus $8 tip) but worth every penny!

Leslie did my daughter's first haircut and the experience was fabulous!!! She did an amazing job and talked to my daughter the whole time to make sure she was comfortable and liked everything that she doing! She painted my daughters nails and even gave a few extra small prizes. Sharkeys has a great atmosphere for kids of all ages as well because we had a little cousin with us to watch and she even got some prizes too!! 100% recommend!!

This was a wonderful experience! Leslie was the sweetest and so kind to my son while cutting his hair. She made him feel very comfortable and he really enjoyed every second he was there. He already wants to go back and is asking for her to cut his hair again. I highly recommend this salon for kids of all ages and definitely recommend Leslie for the best cut ever!
