Ronnie explained why Dexter was the way he was, which made perfect sense to us but without his knowledge and how it was explained we would never have known how to help Dexter become a happier dog. I started to look for local trainers and went through 3 of them… no changes so when we moved, we found Ronnie. Maya was already 3yo so I said “wth, let’s see if it’s working”. Ronnie said that if his training doesn’t work, nothing will and he’ll give me my money back. She stayed in for residential training. When I saw her after about 10 days, she was already a different dog… more calm, 100% recall and most important, she was ok being touched by other people. She continued to stay for a few more weeks to fixate everything she was learning there and I took home a dog that I could go out with without pulling or moving from my side, other than for her “business”. She was not reacting to other dogs passing by or barking at her other that lofting her ears… I was shocked! Once, she jumped the gate to get to a little dog and once I called her name she was right back to me. She is ok even with horses. It has been around 8 months since her training with Ronnie and we kept working with her. Had a bit of a setback after she’s been attacked by another dog while muzzled, but we got her back on track quickly under Ronnie’s guidance.We cannot thank Ronnie enough for what he did with our Maya! Maya is 5 and a half months right now (still a puppy), however she is already very strong and she would completely ignore us as soon there is a distraction on a walk. We have tried different approaches with Maya due to her age, and today Ronnie and Ruth have found a solution. The one hour walk was a dream, Maya was 100% engaging with us, and I still cannot believe how different she was comparing to yesterday. I had a conversation with one of the team at The Dog House, Horsham and they recommended Ronnie to me. Well, one last try why not!! I laid it all out to Ronnie about the issues I was having and he was more than happy to help. Session 1, Ronnie got to work and I walked away with a different dog straight away. Amazing the difference in one session with these guys compared to 3 years with a load of trainers that literally talked for an hour and left my head spinning after being overloaded with useless information. A week in residential with Ronnie and Ruth really did bring out the best in him and he was face to face with dogs with no reaction. I collected a very very different dog. Calmer, more cohesive and waiting for my next command. Unreal feeling! Less talk, more action and a year on Flint is a different dog. He has his moments but on the whole, so much more relaxed and I honestly never thought it would be possible for him to be like that. Many people will recommend dog trainers because their dog Coco learnt how to walk on a lead properly which is nice but not what others need. During the first session we were taught how to correct Bailey with a suitable training collar and within a very short space of time (less than an hour ) could see a massive difference in Baileys behaviour. Bailey was no longer pulling the lead in all directions and was actually walking by our side calmly. Introduced to Ronnie and Ruth’s dogs at the beginning of the session was a what has become a normal (yet unacceptable) experience for me but clearly not acceptable socially and by the end of the session with expert guidance Bailey was not reactive. Strah me je bilo nadeti mu ovratnico, dati mu jesti, kakšen stres je bil obisk veterinarja ne morem niti opisati. Poskušala sem ga stabilizirati z vsem znanjem, ki sem ga premogla in številnimi pasjimi trenerji v domači državi, vendar neuspešno. Iz čistega obupa sem se odločila odpotovati v 1600 km oddaljeno Anglijo k K9 Greatness, saj je bila to poleg evtanazije psa edina možnost. Moram priznati, da sprva nisem zaupala procesu učenja, skrbelo me je, da bom psa s tem, ko ga puščam pri popolnemu neznancu "uničila", da bodo stvari le še slabše. Vendar, ko sem čez 30 dni prevzela psa, nisem mogla verjeti, da gre za istega psa. Pes je ubogljiv, pripravljen na učenje, sledljiv in predvsem, ni več agresiven. Sprehajava se lahko tudi brez povodca, kar je bilo pred tem nepojmljivo. Življenje z njim je postalo užitek, oba se veseliva sprehodov, stresa in strahu ni več. Odločitev poiskati Ronnijevo pomoč je bila moja najboljša odločitev in investicija v življenju tega psa. Še zdaj, ko je pes že več mesecev doma, mi je Ronnie vedno pripravljen svetovati in odgovoriti na mnoga vprašanja, ki se še mi porajajo, pomagal mi je razumeti pasmo, njegive potrebe in bistvo svojih metod, ki so res edinstvene. We had our first session with Ronnie for our two dogs a few weeks ago for our Teddy and Bonnie, not knowing what to expect we took both dogs along feeling full of anxiety as they could be dog and human reactive and bad on lead but just after one session we already made such good progress with them, I could not believe he can work two dogs at the same time it’s incredible and they both were walking a lot better by the first few minutes of the session, we were taught how to take control and show them leadership so they didn’t have to take things into their own paws. Things are a lot easier now we know what to be doing and this has helped with my confidence and anxiety being out and about with them now as I now have more control and the mental tools to make each walk a successful one and what to do in certain situations if I’m faced with it. I was hiring fields daily as this is the only way I could manage taking them both out for their daily exercise and cope with the situation I was in with them both. Ronnie made it feel so easy and all the advice given is priceless. I cannot wait for our 3rd session with him and learning how to change their mindset in all areas like when the door knocks or cats and kids outside as well as people and other dogs and just being a bit stubborn and unruly which they were being at times. I highly recommend Ronnie and his tone of experience and wealth of knowledge and sense of humour to anyone seeking help with their pooches as i honestly felt things would never change but Ronnie has shown us it doesn’t have to be complicated and difficult but with perseverance and consistency, patience and the right tools and attitude you will be successful at changing your dogs mindset once you know what to do. We have since been out for a walk on our own and it was fabulous!! We’ve been working with Ronnie for about 6 months now, having just 2 1-1’s but making so much progress. He provides effective, realistic advice and his knowledge is impeccable. We’ve now moved further into our training and progressed to an ecollar to finesse our front door training and allow 100% recall, she’s adapting and understanding so well and I’m excited to see where our next journey takes us! I’m just going to start by saying, Ronnie at K9 Greatness is just brilliant, and here’s why. I started taking my Labrador puppy to group training sessions when she was 18 weeks old. She was really reactive to other dogs, would leap all over them, just constantly wanting to play, even when they didn’t want to, so I thought a group setting with other dogs would be the perfect way to learn how to combat this, along with some general obedience training, as the trainer would see first hand what I was dealing with and hopefully help me to overcome it. We spent 5 weeks, 1 hour a week going to this group setting. After 5 weeks I saw no improvement at all no matter how much training I did at home, trying to implement all the little tricks I’m being taught, giving her treat after treat, practically bribing her to do what I wanted, but she was still in charge of me whilst out for walks and at home. I thought she was a real life Marley and me and I’d just have to deal with the fact she just wasn’t going to learn. Then, I contacted K9 Greatness. I explained to Ronnie what I’d done so far, I even said good luck with her, I think she’s beyond hope!!(which I now obviously feel stupid for saying) because within minutes of meeting Ronnie for our first session it felt like I was watching someone else’s dog. He explained to me that what I had been taught previously was that I’m giving her treats and rewarding her in the hope she’ll do what I want, but he showed me how to get her to do what I want, and then reward her. At the end of our first hour it felt like that wasn’t my Phoebe sitting nicely, walking nicely on the lead, I honestly could not believe I was watching my dog, I booked up a block of 6 sessions immediately. I can now go for walks with Phoebe and actually enjoy it, rather than having that feeling of dread that we’re going to see another dog and she’s going to pull my arm off to get to it, she now walks by my side and I’ve got her full attention. She is honestly a completely different dog since I started taking her to Ronnie. The sessions are fun, I’ve taken my kids along and he’s got them involved in her training too. We’re carrying on with more sessions as there is more I want to learn with her, her general obedience is there now though, I just want to add to it. He has genuinely worked absolute wonders with Phoebe and I cannot recommend K9 Greatness and Ronnie enough 🙂 Less

I was then taught how to stop her pulling on the lead (yes it was me who needed teaching). Next session we worked on the barking, licking etc., incorporating positive reinforcement, and setting boundaries. In the end, my front door was open wide; she was sitting on the stairs; dogs, people, cars and noises outside were not bothering her. Before this; she would have been barking, and would have made a dash for freedom. Ronnie continues to give me the skills to help ‘Pumpkin’ become a really content, obedient, and happy dog. The scary part came when Ronnie bought one of his dogs out but with his help and support my Dad was soon walking around and past Ronnie and his dog and in control of Reine. There is still lots to work on and lots of hard work for my Dad and Reine but for the first time my Dad feels Confident and looking forward to enjoying his walks with his lovely Reine. Although we had seen other trainers we still weren’t able to overcome his behavior on walks. With k9 we had one evening session, which was in no way pressured, confusing or over complicated, but more chilled, friendly and efficient in which we managed to understand Albies behaviors and learn how to help him so that walks are now much calmer and enjoyable for all of us. Since seeing k9 we have had help with advice over messages. And the option is open to continue with further training if we feel the need too, currently we don’t and we know advice is just a message away! After 2 years I was still having bad problems with my dog pulling on the lead and being very reactive lunging at traffic, horse riders and barking at other dogs, the phase you may get run over by a bus was becoming a real reality. Car journeys are a nightmare. I have no recall at all. He cannot be offlead, he runs for the hills. Ronnie has given me some really good advice and demonstrated techniques that I could use that have worked for us. On our first session he actually watched, engaged and cared about what was happening outside. Something no one else had done up till then. We are very early days and training has just begun but I can actually walk my for short walks in my road, and it's pleasurable. I'm looking forward to the next changes. Ronnie is not only a dog trainer he is a dog owner trainer, kind, open, non judgemential. He is always available when you shout out, he doesn't hold back on advice and is happy to share his knowledge, a rare thing. The difference after 15 mins with Ronnie was incredible. He explains everything as he goes so well and was happy to answer any (stupid) question we had. This training turns ‘socialising’ your dog on its head but if it means we get a happy relaxed dog that is safe to be out with this is definitely the route we will take. Less

Ronnie really takes the time to work through everything and explain why she is doing those things, but also what I need to be doing to correct them. We have worked together to find the right tools and it’s like a switch has been flicked and she just understands what I’m asking for. Her loose lead walking amazes me every time I leave the house, I truly never thought we would ever achieve this. Dog ownership is hard and there’s no shame in admitting that. After coming out to help at short notice I can now make sure that both Betty and my cats are safe. Within a few short weeks with continued training I believe that Betty can look forward to a new forever home. I was ready to give up on Betty but Ronnie has made it possible by giving me the tools and correct communication to help Betty and my Sharpei X. He is a an excellent trainer with good communication skills, he makes it so easy to learn. I will definitely get him back in future to take my pups training up a notch.
