Since my mom has moved in, she's been acclimating well into the Peters Creek community, enjoys the outings, friendships, food and activities that are offered and appreciates having her own apartment, filled with all of her things that make it feel like home. My mom has turned into a new person since moving into Peters Creek. There are so many activities and enrichment opportunities residents can choose from, she's busier than me! She found a new zest for life The staff is very caring and the pride themselves on building relationships with each resident and family. They truly get to know the resident to find out what matters to them and approach each relationship with that in mind. The communication with staff is transparent and always timely as resident needs change. Which I appreciate. They made sure moms transition process was as easy as possible. Oh and I can't forget about the food - simply put, it is amazing. So many delicious and tailored options for residents to choose from each day. When the chef found out my mom is polish, he went out of his way to make a traditional polish meal for her!! The little details matter to residents and this team at Peters Creek make sure residents have as good of day each day as possible. I'm grateful for the care and enrichment my mom receives there. In what should have been the last months of my Grandmother's life I moved her from central IL to Peter's Creek, in order to be closer to family. From the very beginning I was impressed with the people and the facility. The people were so warm, caring and incredibly accommodating. They made a difficult move, pleasant. Although my grandmother's illness took her much sooner than we hoped, I will always treasure how she was treated in her brief time there. Then, after her sudden passing I myself was treated with such amazing compassion. In addition to dealing with the circumstances of Covid-19, the staff at Peter's Creek went above and beyond to keep me informed, and reassured about the state of the apartment. Finally after 2 months of being unable to enter the building myself to clear things out, Jenny the facility manager took it upon herself to move everything of my Grandmothers out for my husband and I to pick up. This consistent care and effort speaks so much to the quality of people working at Peter's Creek. I could say much more about this facility and how they put the health and well being of their residents above everything. Instead I will say that although my Grandmother was only able to live there for a couple of weeks, I would do it all again. There was nothing I would have asked them to do differently in her time there. Thank you Peter's Creek. Less
